A great Hotel, with a nice view. The room is modern, the pool area nice and clean and also the breakfast is good for the hotels standard. It is a twenty minute walk to agios nikolaios, which makes a car nessecary (but that's without question on a big island as Crete, where there is a lot to explore.) The only points were the hotel itself could improve are responses to individual booking requests, such as upgrades and allergies.

Extremely small restroom and shower without a door. Every time we had a shower the water would go all over the place even exit the restroom. Not what you expect for the price we paid. Great breakfast though

Positive: Such a beautiful hotel with incredible views! Great value for money, the staff were lovely and helpful, the breakfast and a la carte menu were delicious, the rooms spacious and comfy. Only about a 5 minute taxi from the town. Would recommend this hotel highly, great for solo travellers too.. Negative: Nothing!.

We spent 5 nights at Meliti Hotel and we had a good stay overall. The bedding was comfortable, the view from our room & the swimming pool were definately a plus. Somehow these are the comments we think could help to improve other people’s stay : - Small bathroom : no separation between shower & toilets - Disappointing breakfast : would be much better with quality food and real orange juice (not industrial & too sweat please) - The swimming pool needs some work to be done, for example, painting refreshment on the outside. Also note that the blue painting inside stays on your skin when you touch it, you might look like a Smurf after swimming - Regarding the staff : almost everyone was nice, but 1 or 2 could at least smile a little more - When it comes to pricing, it’s a little expensive for the service & food that you get for almost 100€ per night.

Sandra Germany Amazing hotel with wonderful staff - loved our days there Liked · We have been in this hotel for 4 nights end of May. We paid for a standard double room 40 EUR, which was pretty good! The hotel has a nice size with only about 40 rooms. Most of them are renovated, only some in last construction. The entrance area is really nice, staff is AMAZING and the pool area chilling and wasn't busy end of may. The breakfast was more we were thinking about for that price. It has all you need: bread rolls, cakes, muesli, sausage, cheese, eggs and other warm greek things, fruits, juice and coffee. For some days pretty good. We were sitting outside under the roof (still Corona) and the views to the ocean are amazing. When arriving we first had a view to the last rooms under construction. And the worst: The dust of it was in the room, because of Corona they need to have the windows in the rooms open. Would have been okay but I have a dust allergy. When asking for a change they could offer a new room immediately which was pretty nice! Thanks for that! We loved the staff. The cleaning lady, smiling every morning, the bar staff, the receptionist, all. Really nice and if you are interested and chat a bit, you are not just a number! Check out the rooftop rooms with pool - they shall one amazing with great views! Parking is for free right in front of the house. Disliked · The hallway resounds. So whenever someone is coming, it can get loud. Some pictures and flowers maybe could help. Same with the doors. You need to throw the door to get it closed. So it´s loud again and you door is always wiggling. A napkin helped us, an fixing some more rubber in the frame of the door would be helpful. The balcony chairs are pretty hard and would be better with some pillows. We didn't like the plastic cups at the pool (because of the plastic) and hooks in the room where missing like nearly in every hotel or guesthouse ;-) There is nothing to eat around so you need to go/drive into Agios Nikolaos city center.

We expected more for the price to be honest... Our room wasn't ready when we came and after we could finally enter it wasn't really clean so we needed to ask to do it again (bathroom still wet, incl. bath mat; there were also some ants; after our complaint, there weren't any). The cleaning staff was annoyed and didn't hide it from us either. The air condition wasn't very strong and sometimes not working properly. This was horrible. Also the elevator wasn't working when we came (which can happen, no problem) but no one of the staff offered us help to carry our big luggage downstairs. That was disappointing. If I choose a hotel in this price category I think one can expect a little bit more hospitality and service in this situation. The food a la carte was okay, but some dishes were overpriced for only a little bit of food on the plate. Other dishes were very good and okay for the price. The breakfast was nice and everything regardig food (egg & co.) was freshly prepared. All hot drinks (including tea, etc.) came out of a big beverage machine I know from cafeterias, not very tasty... The cocktail at the pool was okay, but so much ice that there was more ice than soda or alcohol, and for that reason too expensive. I would have expected more liquid if I order a cocktail and not only ice but the taste was good. The pool area was very nice and clean, the staff at the check-in and check-out friendly and the view from our balcony and the pool area very nice. All in all, it's a good hotel but overpriced for what standard it offers; with small improvements it would be more lovely!

We had a great time here in off-season, my rating is based on the price and value you get. We had only Breakfast (Agios Nicolais has a tons of choices for lunch and dinner) that offered all we expected e.g. fresh fruit, eggs, omelette - the only drawback was the coffee and juices are not fresh and came from a kind of “instant” machine, but if you want a good coffee you can order one from the barista machine next to the bar (extra charge, but worth of it). So if you are looking for friendly staff, great views and clean rooms and surroundings the Meliti is a great base for discovering Crete.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Short drive into town but that makes it nice and quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
