Maria, the owner, was super nice and helpful, the room beautiful, breakfast nicely homemade... and as a tip, have dinner at the tavern just 50 meters to the left and have a steak! Unbeatable quality price ratio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay when visiting Ancient Messini. Host Maria speaks good English and is very helpful with local information. Good taverna 3 minutes walk away. Good local breakfast. Parking is on main road. Not for infirm as short but steep access road from parking to entrance. Rooms on side have small balcony with limited view of Messini. I would stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I visited Ancient Messene in Greece and stayed at Messana, a great little hotel with clean rooms beautifully decorated and some with views. The beds are comfortable and they also serve a very good breakfast buffet showcasing local ingredients. Wi-Fi is free. Best of all the proprietor Maria who is very sweet and accommodating. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. As for the village itself is a place worth lingering a while not only for the ruins but also for its tranquility, great views, and hiking opportunities; can be also used as a base for day trips.

The hotel is new but with a very interesting architectural style that totally blends in the traditional atmosphere of the area. The area is fantastic. Just a few minutes from the most impressive archaeological site. Great food just a couple of minutes from the hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. They make you feel at home and very welcome. Breakfast is exceptional too and handmade by the sweet owner Maria. Couldn't ask for anything more for this wonderful stay.
Good idea to book a few nights here as the area is full of beautiful points of interest besides the ancient messini site. This beautiful hotel can be a convenient starting point for many beautiful excursions around Messini.
Overall a very positive experience!
