★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found the Monastery as a secret tip on the internet and decided to go there. We took the route by car and close to the monastery the road changed. Most of the tourists choose to park down here and walk to the monastery. We saw the rather difficult way up and I decided to try to drive up there by car. Its rough and stony but its drivable. If you like challenging roads, as much as I do, you going to love it. In the middle of the road you find a small gate. It's for keeping the goats in. Open it, drive throu and close it again please.
The monastery itself is small but absolutely beautiful and its quiet so you can enjoy the view. Inside we met a very kind local lady and she offered us some sweets. We stayed there for a while and the atmosphere was kind of impressive to me. Some 'corner of the world'- feeling. Enjoy!

Nature around it ,the view,peace and quite that it offers left me speechless.
This is one of my favourite places in amazing Naxos island.
