★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is not a long one ( if you are starting from aria spring) but its definately a steep one on a rocky underground. Well worth the effort tough. If you want to see something in the cave bring a flashlight. The cellphone flashlight wont do it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The reviews I read on Tripadvisor helped a lot. If you ride/walk as far as you can go up the mountain its a short walk to a spring. You can drink the water from the spring or take some with you. After that follow the sign up the mountain.
Now after a while the path will stop, but you wont stop tho. Dont turn back here. If you look around you see red dots on the rocks indicating the route. Look for an easy pathway over the rocks and keep climbing up. The views are great and you will hear and see the goats walking besides or even comming upto you.
After a while you will see the enterence of the cave on the left. Next to it there seems to be an other spring but there was no water there when we were.
If you enter the cave note that is slippery inside and make sure to watch you step. Bring a flashlight to make it easy for yourself or use your phone flash if you enjoy a challenge.
Please do not try this on your flip flops, i mean you can try but its just silly. You wont need special boots, a pair of (old) sneakers will do. Also go early for 2 reasons, 1 the heat and 2 other tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gotta be pretty fit to get to the cave. Definately worth a visit if you can do it. Really deep cave which gets dark quick so take a light if you can. Views from up the cave are immense also.
Not just a question of shoes (although I would defo take closed toe shoes if poss) it's a bit of a scramble up rocks for the last 70/80 meters so if your not too confident on uneven ground, might not be for you.
There are goats up the top, although they werent bothering anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hike up to the caves is nice. The caves itself is rad however, bring a flashlight it is dark. There is a ton of goat pellets at the mouth of the cave so your shoes will be well" dung saturated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hike up was treacherous, and we were all sweating by the end of it. Turns out we were going up the "difficult" side of the mountain. However, the cave was incredible and a cool relief from the unforgiveable sun outside. The views, though, are some of the best in the world. Mountain and ocean collide, so you don't have to pick between them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of the most amazing climbs I have done today. It is mount Zas in Naxos Greece where legend has it Zeus was hiding from his father Kronos. It is a rough kilometer hike up somewhat loose rock with breathtaking views on the way up. Well worth the hike, bring sturdy, rubber soled shoes.
