★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Тут красиво и тихо. Мы пришли в то время, когда церкви были закрыты, но сама территория была открыта . Нас никто не встретил, даже сторожевой пёс нас проспал. Идти от отеля, который на берегу моря, недолго - минут 15. Дорога жаркая, тени мало, но оно того стоит!
It is beautiful and quiet. We came at a time when the churches were closed, but the territory itself was open. Nobody met us, even the watchdog overslept us. Walk from the hotel, which is on the seashore, for a short time - about 15 minutes. The road is hot, the shade is not enough, but it's worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Arsaniou Monastery in Rethymno prefecture is located near Pangalochori, 11 kilometers east of Rethymno, so you can easily arrive there by car. Very nice and peaceful men's monastery, with beautifully decorated walls and ceilings. Worth seeing!
