★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery is located 2km east of Ouranoupoli, next to the border of Mount Athos. During the 11th century, the monastery was one of the most important in Mount Athos, highly ranked in the hierarchy. At the end of the 12th century, the monastery was abandoned for unknown reasons. In its period it was reestablished by Hilandariou monastery.
Ticket is 4 eur per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery was built around the 10th century. He was one of the greatest on Mount Athos. Then the Crusaders destroy it and build a fortress using its walls. It is 50 meters from the border with Mount Athos. Rehabilitation activities under a European project are under way. It's a dirt road. It's coincidental on foot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bad way up to the monastery if you are coming by car. Entrance fee is 4 euro per adult. You can see the border of Athos because there is a abandonned monastery near the beach. Its a lot of stones laying around and a lot of work left but its beautiful to see and a great experience.
