Incredible place. Get some drinks at the Caffe down the road and walk around the place for a while. Incredible views and you can go inside. Still running as a monastery to this day. Calm and quiet atmosphere. Not many others here. Road to is rocky and bumpy to the extreme. Bring ATVs/quadbikes and it is great fun offroading up the rocks. Could possibly do it in a jimny or other 4x4 but would take a while. Worth going though.

Took a gentle run up to the top to view the monastery. The roads there are rough dirt tracks and quite steep in parts - I would advise if driving that only confident drivers go up. There is a large flat opening part way up where you could park, from here I belive its roughly 2.5km to the top. There are signs saying 'Skopos' to keep you on track. There's a small stop 200m from the monastery where you can buy refreshments (however I was there early in the morning so it was closed). Overall a worth while trip and I'd have been sad to have missed it. The views on the hike and at the top are stunning and the remains of the monastery are an intriguing historic gem hidden from many.

Must go! At the end of path there is a little hidden path to go up that highest mountain point, this one is a pure must! It's absolutely amazing! The climb is very dangerous and very steep so go there is you are a little experienced! The views are totally worth it

The monastery,or whatever ruins are left there,is nothing extraordinary to see. The view from the top of the mountain where the ruins are is exceptional. It's breathtaking and feel like the whole world lie in your feet. Beautiful! It takes about 10-15min with the car to get there from the main road, the ride is not enjoyable because it's a gravel road and very narrow, but all worth once you reach the top.

Well worth the rather arduous journey to get there. Make sure you walk up the rocks to get the best views. Obviously has been a busy place in the past, there's a cafe which is closed and the monastery can be floodlit. But when we went we were the only ones.

A road (easy even for small cars) to the monastery is a highlight. The views are amazing especially if you go in the evening (the lighting is just perfect). It is a one of the main highlights in Vasilikos area. But don’t try to pass through the mountains to Kalamaki unless you have a good off-road SUV (like defender). Though, if you have a 4 wheeled high car (x-trail should be ok) you can go further, to stone pit. From stone pit there is a steep difficult road up and that’s where most of the cars will turn around. The photo taken going to the stone pit.

A very special church for me because my grandfather took his name by it. You can only go on foot and it’s a one hour difficult climb, or go with a 4x4 because the road is full of rocks. Great energy on the top

Wonderful place. Stunning views. It's difficult to get there, don't try it with a rental car. You can walk but it's a climb to reach it, it will take you 1 and a half to 2 hours. A 4X4 will do the job.
