A more beautiful monument similar to Leonidas needs to be included in the site.

could this monument have something more for the value of Thespians who stood in this historical event of Thermopylae

As Herodotus writes, the Thespians remained with all their good will and said that they would never abandon Leonidas and his men. The leader of the 700 Thespians was Dimofilos, son of Diadromos. All Thespians fought heroically and were killed. Dithyrambus, son of Armatides, stood out for his bravery. Unfortunately, we did not find in all the (non-internet) sources we have at our disposal other information about the brave Thespians. Only in the spring of 1997, after 2,477 years since the battle of 480 BC, with the erection of a simple, symbolic statue, a winged youth next to the statue of Leonidas and his comrades in Thermopylae, was the first step towards its emergence. sacrifice of the Thespians.

For such an important victory it's sad there isn't more here. Thebes was a major player in ancient Greece. You'd think there would be more here

Honoring the fallen. You get the chills for just being here. A must for everyone interested in Greek history, same with the Leonidas monument right next to it. (and the museum)

Gives you the chills. Felt immensely proud and small in front of our great ancestors: 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians that gave their lives under great Leonidas' leadership for us to breathe blessed Greek air today. The museum was unbelievably cheap, the staff super kind and friendly.

Beware of thieves! Don’t leave your car unattended, don’t go too far from the car! In just a few seconds the thieves broke a window and took a bag from my car.

Good to visit the Monument to the Thespians, however sad to see it in such a bad condition. Its unrespectful to see the monument broken down, and dirty. It needs urgent repairs (the marble has be broken off in many places. the writings washed off and illumination is bad). Shame to the people responsible for not maintaining world cultural heritage. What also needs to be take care of, is that there are monuments on each side of the road with no safe passage for pedestrians. One has to run across the road with speeding cars.
