★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ce restaurant typique offre des plats généreux et savoureux avec une vraie cuisine locale. On y mange très bien, l'accueil est chaleureux, le cadre est joli et le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel. Je vis ici depuis quelque temps, j'ai découvert le Diktamos avec des clients et depuis c'est un peu devenu mon repère, ma cantine... J'aime aussi profiter le soir venu de leur agréable bar pour boire un cocktail :) Je recommande vivement !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A total disappointment for a local family! The most horrible and disgusting food in the city. The poorest quality... It wouldn't even matter if it was cheap, but on the contrary it was really expensive too. DO NOT VISIT IT!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waited more than an hour to eat. Prices were not great. Ordered the grilled chicken with potatoes and salad. The chicken was extremely dry and hard to eat. The 5 fries on the plate were good. The "salad" was a small pile of cold burnt grilled vegetables that nobody was able to eat. We then ordered a greek salad and toast to wash our mouths from the previous plate. Too bad the pieces of tomato and onion were too big to be eaten and needed to be cut. At the end of the meal we had to get up and look everywhere to find a waitress and pay. She then told us how much we owed without a receipt, and when we asked for the receipt it took about 10 minutes to get it. In total it took 2 hours to have a very disappointing meal

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The O Diktamos tavern is located along the old road between Istron and Agio Nicolaos and is part of the Naiades Almiros River Hotel, which was not so obvious for us in the beginning, when we arrived.
The service is very fast and friendly. We found the food quality and taste perfect as well as how the dishes were plated - not as we were usually experiencing in Crete. Worth mentioning as well: the home made Raki. The prices are really fair, especially considering the mentioned points above.
If you are in Agios Nicolaos area it is definately worth to visit!
