Φοβερο τοπιο!!

Έχω ζήσει την εμπειρία πριν γίνει προορισμός.Προτινω ανεπιφύλακτα σε καποιον που ψάχνει για κάτι το διαφορετικό και γνήσιο να τολμήσει να επισκεφτεί το συγκεκριμένο μέρος. Είμαι σίγουρος ότι θα φύγει πιο πλούσιος από εκεί!!!

Δεν θα πω κουβέντα για τον Γιάννη, γιατί είναι φίλος. Το σημείο είναι εκπληκτικό και έχει πολλά κάποιος να δει γύρω. Ούτε στη βδομάδα δεν βαριέσαι...

Μοναδική εμπειρία με όλη τη σημασία της λέξης. Για όσους ονειρεύονται μία αξέχαστη κρητική εμπειρία στο οροπέδιο στα Λευκά Όρη. Giannis Papasifakis is a very generous and friendly young man who enjoys sharing his knowledge of the mountain as a shepherd as well as his authentic dwelling. He offers a very unique hiking experience at the heart of Lefka Ori. ---TWO DAY GUIDED HIKE AT THE HEART OF LEFKA ORI---. We met Giannis in Anopoli around 8:30 in the morning and he took us on a slow ride with his pickup truck on a very bumpy mountain road (approx. 23 km). At 10:00 we arrived at the end of the road. After two hours we had climbed to the highest peak Pachnes with the breathtaking panoramic view! At 13:00 we were down from the peak and began descending towards our destination, Mitato Pirou, where we arrived after a pretty demanding walk. The first part of the path was a rocky desert, whereas the second one was a limitless rock garden with herbs and subalpine shrubs. After showing us around, Giannis prepared a delicious dinner and offered us raki and malorira tea. It was freezing cold outside but we had a fire lit inside. The interior space is quite primitive as we expected and tiny (2x4 meters and only 1,90m high!). Next morning after we had breakfast we walked an hour's distance to the fringes of Samaria Gorge where we were lucky enough to meet a small herd of the Cretan endemic wild goat (Capra aegagrus creticus) grazing on a distant slope. We finally arrived in Anopoli at 14:30. SPECIAL CARE should be taken when choosing to participate in this walk: hiking boots are absolutely necessary as the path is full of stray stones that you either need to avoid or should step on, and this goes on the whole way! Also beware of the low temperatures when windy and at night, bring with you a warm sleeping bag and enough water for the way. ALSO NOTE that Giannis is not english speaking, so please try to make communication with him easy any way you can, and so will he.
