It is a pity that many tourists. And so the place is very calm, strong.

It dominates a green rural area. It is a few hundred meters from E.O. Heraklion - Agios Nikolaos and it is worth making a stop in combination with a walking walk to the Monastery of Agios Georgios Vrachasiotis.

A very soulful place, it would seem that there is a highway nearby, but ... quiet, calm and cool. Lots of greenery and flowers. There is a tavern nearby.

Very beautiful monastery courtyard and sea view through the gorge. On the mountain next to the eagles, I did not remember the view, the guide commented that it was endemic

Did not visit the monastry but passed it during our travels to Ageos Nikolas. It looked interesting and will try to visit if we are there again.

Ok, the pictures in this map add are of two different places. The big buildings are the ministry. The small church is further up the road about a mile (1.5 kil). It's really hard to find and on a very rough dirt road, but well worth the search. It's in the middle of a bunch of olive fields but has miles of walking paths through the farms. All the times I've been there, I see the farmer's and they don't mind us walking around in there. The more you walk, the more you'll see. There are some ruins in the area. Take lots of water as There is nothing around this place.
