The monastery is close to the highway, small but picturesque, the monastery has its own museum, with old icons, with hand-made clergy clothes, church utensils and books from the 18-19th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Durch ein schön verziertes Eingangstor kommt man in das Kloster Agios Georgios Selinari. Selinari ist der Name der Schlucht, in der sich die Klosteranlage befindet.
Das Kloster wurde direkt in den Berg gebaut. Es hat ein kleines Museum, dass man sich anschauen kann. Eine kleine Kapelle ist zugänglich, während der größte Teil von den Mönchen bewohnt wird und der Zugang zu diesen Räumen nicht gestattet ist. Die Klosteranlage Agios Kloster Georgios Selinari kostet keinen Eintritt, in dem kleinen Museum kann man sich gegen eine Spende alles in Ruhe ansehen.
A beautifully decorated entrance gate leads to the Agios Georgios Selinari monastery. Selinari is the name of the gorge in which the monastery complex is located.
The monastery was built directly into the mountain. It has a small museum that you can see. A small chapel is accessible, while the majority are inhabited by the monks and access to these rooms is not permitted. The monastery complex of Agios Georgios Selinari costs no admission, in the small museum you can see everything in peace for a donation.

Such a lovely monastery on the national road.
Flowers and a small chapel. Is all we could see as the rest was closed off.
Please as always dress respectful when visiting this monastery has signs stating this
