Διάλεξε να εκφράσει το άλογο–σύμβολο που είναι σύντροφος του βιοπαλαιστή εργάτη και του αγρότη, που με την αφοσίωση και την πίστη στον άνθρωπο που το φροντίζει, δίνει όλες του τις δυνάμεις για να τον βοηθήσει στην προσπάθεια που κάνει για την επιβίωση. Για αυτό τον λόγο, ίσως, μέσα από την συμβολική αφαίρεση τμημάτων της σάρκας αφήνει τον θεατή να δει αυτή την προσπάθεια, που κάνει κάθε μυς και κάθε νεύρο του σώματός του. Δεν είναι όμως ένα απλά κουρασμένο άλογο, αλλά ένας φίλος του ανθρώπου, που δείχνει καρτερία, υπομονή και αξιοπρέπεια, έτοιμο να προσφέρει τη βοήθειά του, όποτε του ζητηθεί. Είναι ένα έργο υψηλής τέχνης, που εκφράζει με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο το σύμβολο της πόλης. The work was painted by Larissian sculptor Papastergiou. He chose to express the horse-symbol that is a companion of the laborer and the farmer, who, by dedication and faith to the caregiver, is giving all his strength to help him in his effort for survival. For this reason, perhaps, through the symbolic removal of parts of the flesh, lets the viewer see this effort, which makes every muscle and every nerve of his body. But he is not just a tired horse, but a human being who shows patience, patience and dignity, ready to offer his help whenever he is asked. It is a work of high art, expressing in the best possible way the symbol of the city.

The horse of Larissa is the emblem of the city of Larissa and the badge of the local football team.
