Ναός των Αγίων Θεοδώρων, στον ίδιο σχεδόν χώρο που τον 7ο μ.Χ. αιώνα υπήρχε βυζαντινός Ναός των Αγίων Θεοδώρων (ή του Αγίου Μερκουρίου), του οποίου εντοπίσθηκαν η θεμελίωση και ψηφιδωτό δάπεδο εξαιρετικής τέχνης.Η θέα απερίγραπτη πό την είσοδο του ναού! Με άδεια του Μητροπολίτη Θεσ/νίκης Παντελεήμονος του Α’ το 1964 κτίσθηκε ο μικρός Ι.Ναός των Αγίων Θεοδώρων Τήρωνος και Στρατηλάτου. Το 1965 ιδρύεται η ενορία των Αγίων Θεοδώρων (Βασιλικό Διάταγμα υπ’ αριθμ. 811/22.10.1965, ΦΕΚ 198/3.11.1965) που έμελλε να εξυπηρετείται στον Ι.Ναό των 60 μόλις τ.μ. για 11 ολόκληρα χρόνια. Στις 18.3.1973 ο Μητροπολίτης Θεσσαλονίκης Λεωνίδας θεμελίωσε τον νέον μεγαλοπρεπή Ι. Ναό ενώ ο Μητροπολίτης Νεαπόλεως και Σταυρουπόλεως κ.Διονύσιος ετέλεσε τα θυρανοίξια του υπογείου Ι.Ναού στις 15.11.1975 και όρισε να συντιμάται η μνήμη της Αγ.Αναστασίας Φαρμακολυτρίας. Ο Ιερός Ναός που είναι κτισμένος στον τύπο του σταυροειδούς μετά τρούλου κτίσθηκε σε διάστημα 14 ετών και εγκαινιάσθηκε την 27.5.1990 από τον Α΄ Μητροπολίτη Νεαπόλεως και Σταυρουπόλεως κ. Διονύσιο.
