Best Restaurant in Greece

A	Anna Henseler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a drink okay, but don’t eat here. We have been here for the midnight festivities on Easter Saturday and this was the only restaurant we could find a table that was not already reserved. Now I know why. I had Pasta Bolognese (8,90€) and my partner a pizza (9,80€). We had to wait at least 45 min for our food. There were two women in the kitchen cooking, overwhelmed with the food orders. The pizza tasted like a low quality frozen pizza with some topping put on top. My pasta was anything but al dente with no taste at all. On the way to the toilet you could see two rooms full of junk. On the men’s toilet was no toilet seat and you could not use the toilet flush. I give one star because the waiters were friendly and the location was nice.

Firstly the bill was not legible and secondly in comparison to our other dining experiences in similar restaurants-exorbitant. I don't mind paying for quality but I don't appreciate being exploited. We left with a nasty taste in our mouths and would in no way recommed this restaurant.
W	Wilfred Harte on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely setting for a nice restaurant directly on the inner lake of Agios in the middle of town. Good varied menu with Greek, Italian, BBQ and kids menus. I had the fresh grilled Dorade fish in wine sauce which was grilled to perfection. My companions had smaller "snack" meals that they assured me were very good. A bit too pricey (as are all restaurants around the lake) for the fifth star.

E	Esther Huiskamp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place on the water, you are kindly guided inside. The card indicates prices for the dishes, but beware! They charge kilos of prizes. We paid four large prawns for more than 70 euros, outrageous! This was not what we ordered. The waiter who at first was friendly and accessible did not look at us anymore at the checkout and tried to put it in our shoes that we would have made a wrong order. The food was good and tasty but beware when it comes to the kilo price because then you will be faced with large costs.
L	Lydia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality of the food is really not good. And even if the spot is nice near the lake- I cannot recommend it. On the bill we had one meal more - nice try. If you go inside you see all the dirt. Crete has so many beautiful places. Please don’t go here!

We even received complementary wine from the restaurant which makes a restaurant visit even more great than it already is. Next to the cuisine, the vibe of the restaurant next to a beautiful lake is wonderful! The next time in Agios Nikolaos, my lunch and/or dinner will be here again
A	Alice Thring on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place, great for people watching. Some nice bars, cafes and restaurants around the lake, but the staff try and pull you in from the street (as you would expect in a tourist location). Some of the food stops are a little more expensive than those away from the lake, but definitely worth a look
