★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we’re situated in a small villa between the villages of Gerani and Maleme, with numerous choices of good (above average) restaurants, Tavernas and bars within walking distance in either direction. Suffice to say this will be our 3rd visit to the Wave this week, therefore
nothing more needs to be said.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stumbled on this place on our first day in Crete and stopped in just for a snack. Me and my family were so impressed we immediately got reservations for my father’s birthday dinner the next day. The food is great, the view is amazing, and the service was perfect.
My two recommendations if you go:
1. Get a reservation to guarantee a table right by the water
2. If you like cocktails, order the Chloe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok where to begin with the Wave? First off the food is out of this world. The Wave has a large menu catering to all tastes and the food is uniformly excellent. Secondly the location. The terrace on the beach is lovely and the views across the beach, bay and the hills are spectacular. You can catch a lovely sunset there. Last but by no means least the staff. These guys are legends. The service is above excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The Wave was my first stop on my Cretan holiday and the way the team there treated my partner and I was just above and beyond. I knew from the moment I met them that my trip to Crete would be something I’d never forget. Wonderful people. If you want a relaxing evening a great meal a couple of drinks and to watch the sun slide away over the Cretan hills I don’t think you can do better than the Wave.
