M	M Hector on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thrifty gehört offensichtlich zu Hertz. Fahrzeugemfang problemlos. Rückgabe Sonntags um 7h dauerte 3min. Fahrzeuge sind technisch in Ordnung. Optisch passen sie sich den Fahrzeugen der kretischen Bürger an. Man kann eigentlich froh sein wenn der Wagen bereits rundrum Schäden hat... da fällt ein weiterer sicher nicht auf. Ein Auto ohne Schäden fällt auf Kreta sofort auf... Fahrzeuge anderer Vermieter sehen übrigens auch nicht besser aus. Thrifty obviously belongs to Hertz. Vehicle reception without problems. Return on Sundays at 7am took 3min. Vehicles are technically in order. Visually, they adapt to the vehicles of Cretan citizens. You can actually be happy if the car has already been damaged all around ... there is certainly another one that is not noticeable. A car without damage is immediately noticeable in Crete ... Incidentally, vehicles from other rental companies do not look any better.

Véhicule en très bon état et rapport qualité/prix excellent. Guichet très facile à trouver. Rien à redire. Je recommande ! No problem ! Pick up and easy return. Bei der Abgabe wurde nur gefragt, ob mit dem Auto alles in Ordnung sei und uns eine schöne Heimreise gewünscht. Vollkommen stressfrei. Der Preis für 2 Wochen lag bei dem Preis, was der Transfer vom Flughafen zum Hotel und zurück gekostet hätte. Die Autofahrer auf Kreta sind rücksichtsvoll, die Rollerfahrer eher nicht. Die drängeln überall durch und vorbei. Man gewöhnt sich dran und beachtet sie nicht weiter. Die passen auf sich selber auf... 14 days rental car in Crete. Обслуживают быстро, доп услуг не навязывают. The car was delivered on time, the car was clean. But not very new, 56 thousand km. on the odometer. The engine and gearbox are not running very smoothly. They serve quickly, do not impose additional services.

Wir waren Süden der Insel und hatten dort ein kleines Problem mit dem Auto, welches wir als Nicht-techniker nicht beurteilen könnten (Wasserverlust). Uns wurde sofort innerhalb von 2 Stunden Hilfe geschickt- besser geht es nicht. Die Abholung und Rückgabe waren problemlos. Also wir würden dort immer wieder buchen We had a wonderful C3 Diesel for 14 days that drove wonderfully, even over the worst switchbacks. We were in the south of the island and had a small problem with the car there, which we, as non-technicians, could not judge (water loss). Help was immediately sent to us within 2 hours - it couldn't be better. Pickup and return were hassle-free. So we would book there again and again

Am Flughafen in Heraklion teilt sich Thrifty den Schalter mit Hertz direkt im Terminal (Ankunfthalle). Bei der Abholung wurde nicht versucht, uns zusätzliche Versicherungen anzudrehen. Das Prozedere verlief unkompliziert, schnell und freundlich. Das Auto war mit seinen rund 20.000 km in einem passablen Zustand. Wir erhielten einen schlecht lesbaren Durchschlag des Übergabeprotokolls, auf dem leider einige Mängel (Schrammen) nicht eingetragen waren. Damit hatten wir kein so gutes Gefühl. Die Befürchtung, man würde uns diese Schrammen bei der Rückgabe anlasten, hatte sich jedoch nicht bewahrheitet. Im Gegenteil. Die Rückgabe verlief außerordentlich schnell, unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Meine Empfehlung an die Hertz-Mitarbeiter wäre, auf sämtliche Mängel im Übergabeprotokoll zu achten und die Mängel so deutlich zu vermerken, dass man sie auch auf dem Kundendurchschlag gut erkennen kann. Besser wäre natürlich ein Auto mit weniger Schrammen. ? Das Auto war für die z.T. recht holprigen Straßen auf Kreta sehr gut geeignet und für die steilen Bergstraßen ausreichend motorisiert. Das Ausstattungsextra einer Einparkhilfe habe ich jedoch vermisst. Sowas sollte heute bei keinem Auto fehlen. Wir waren jedenfalls auf so mancher Bergstraße froh, dass wir uns für einen SUV entschieden hatten. Ich würde immer wieder bei diesem Anbieter buchen. We had booked a SEAT Arona through SunnyCars at Thrifty for two weeks. At Heraklion Airport, Thrifty shares a counter with Hertz right inside the terminal (Arrivals Hall). No attempt was made to sell us additional insurance when we picked it up. The procedure was uncomplicated, quick and friendly. The car was in reasonable condition with around 20,000 km. We received a hard-to-read copy of the handover protocol, which unfortunately did not include a few defects (scratches). We didn't have a good feeling about that. However, the fear that we would be blamed for these scratches when we returned them did not come true. On the contrary. The return was extremely quick, uncomplicated and very friendly. My recommendation to the Hertz employees would be to pay attention to all deficiencies in the handover protocol and to note the deficiencies so clearly that they can also be seen on the customer carbon copy. Of course, a car with fewer scratches would be better. ? The car was very well suited for the sometimes quite bumpy roads on Crete and sufficiently motorized for the steep mountain roads. However, I missed the additional equipment of a parking aid. Something like this shouldn't be missing from any car today. In any case, on some mountain roads we were glad that we had decided on an SUV. I would book with this provider again and again.

R	Richard Warne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent car rental company that appears to be the discount wing of Hertz. The price was very good. The car was a fairly new Peugeot 108 with 20,000 miles on the clock and a few scuffs. It was mechanically solid and in good condition, with topped up fluids and everything in working order. In terms of customer service it was pretty good. There was no hard sell of extra insurance (although I'd recommend getting an excess policy at home before you go for a few quid), and the staff were friendly and polite. Perhaps the viewing of the car at the start was a little rushed, and the queue for the office was longer than most (probably a good sign), but these are small niggles in the scheme of things.
