j	joris v on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good rental deal through Preferred. Fast service, shuttle from the airport to nearby Avis location (you can easily walk too). Helpsome and friendly staff. We were driving off with our car in 15 minutes after stepping out of the airport. Same quality service when departing.
D	De Kay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great experience with my car rental at Avis at Iraklion Airport. The Avis counter is inside the airport, immediately after exiting the baggage claim. I waited for less than 5 min to be served. I had booked my car ahead of travel through an online agency. At the counter, I showed my voucher from the agency and they started preparing the contract. Like all other car rental companies, they asked me if I wanted to buy additional insurance. I had bought comprehensive coverage including an excess insurance through the online agency. I told them that I'm already covered and Avis was ok with that. This is the major difference to some other car rental companies, which insist that you buy the insurance from them or pay a ridiculously high amount of deposit. Avis did not coerce me to buy extra insurance and the deposit I paid was just about 90 euros. Finally, I even had the option to choose between 3 different cars. At the car, we checked together for any scratches and there was no rush at all. Upon return of the car the same procedure. I'm happy I rented my car at Avis and I would definitely recommend them.
V	Vincent Menoret on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and friendly staff but not satisfied with Avis concept. First there is NOT any Mini Cooper Cab available in Avis Heraklion Airport. There is only Opel cascada that you have in compensation. Then you receive a car that is by far not new with scratches and impact of heat inside the car. Finally they charge you twice the price of a normal reparation in Crete (I asked 2 garages that confirmed it). I am fully responsible of the bump I had on the car but they asked me almost 600 euros instead of 300 in the two garages. To conclude, happy with the professionalism of the staff but not at all with Avis ways of working!

A Greek driver broke the traffic rules (they drive like crazy in Crete!) and hit our rental car making a scratch. We called the police and the road assistance, spent the whole day for all the bureaucracy. We asked Avis many times now to send us a police report and the proof that they really spent the charged amount to repair the car. The employees were unfriendly and not helpful at all - they never sent us these documents! And our additional insurance doesn’t want to pay us the deductible without these two documents because car rentals often charge tourists for the damages which will never be repaired! We in fact got our rental car at pick-up full of scratches and damages everywhere! If we ourselves hadn’t reported the accident, most likely Avis wouldn’t even have noticed a new scratch on this old car. To call the police and the road assistance brought us nothing but very much stress and lost time. No justice at the end. We were punished for our honesty.
A	Alex Marke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good as usual for us with Avis. We were late due to ferry delay fortunately the office is open until very late too, it's very practical. We didn't wait for long (unlike customers of their neighbors Alamo ^^) and we have been upgraded (a new car with only 800 km ) A shuttle of Avis took us to the parking to pick up the car and the deposit was ultra fast (2min ! but there was no problem on the car by the way and we had SuperCover option).
