★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really NOT a nice place, sorry margarita. The lonely advantages : it's close to the center of Agia Galini. It is not noisy...Without this : the welcome is cold, the living room is so little and so cold, without any charm, just like a prison. The rare cutlery and plate are all packed in plastic bags. No basis to cook or boil water for a tea or a coffee. Everything is done for you to go eat/drink in the overpriced Tavernas !! Until remove the bar that hold the bottles in the fridge !! We slept one night because we are tired by the road and went immediately !! It was farest the uglyest place...and the more expansive of all our days in Crête !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found this place by coincidence after leaving the very touristic city of Plakias. I was looking for a peaceful and quiet place, away from the busy beaches, something authentic and well kept. I loved everything about the Tropika: the taverna with various places to sit, the large and clean pool area, the subtle charme of the family that runs it, the little white holiday houses surrounded by trees and garden, and especially the beautiful interior design: wooden antique furniture, natural materials, and little details that make a big difference to commercial hotels.
