Vigles Sea View, Philian Hotels and Resorts - Skiathos

Very friendly but not well English speaking staff.amazing view,tasty breakfast.sometimes nosy because the airport down there. But in general very calm place, you feel yourself on your own Villa.but need to rent a car because to get to the port is rather fare and the road is a mountain road ,so not easy to get on the hill

Amazing view over the bay, Skiathos, the airport and it's airplane flight ways. You can hear every starting and landing airplane. But with the few flights in Skiathos it makes it exciting to see the action. Very good breakfast for a small hotel. Nice and helpful personal. Very beautiful around the pool and hotel. 0,5 star minus because it would be possible to make the rooms a bit more modern with better style and to change the lounge music from time to time. But it was a very nice and comfort chill out holiday in this hotel.

what a fantastic view from this hotel! the rooms are very very large and comfortable equipped with all the facilities of a normal four star accommodation. the staff is very friendly and professional. the swimming pool is a great place to stay. I found this place perfect. It's only a bit far from the center and the main beaches but if you rent a car you have no problem. Alternatively there is a very efficient hotel taxi service with reasonable prices.

What a serene place. The staff are very friendly and most helpful. The service is spot on. The rooms are clean and functional. The breakfast is served for 3 hours and is plentiful. My tip is to hire a car or motor scooter/quad bike, we found this to be essential given the location at the top of a very steep climb. Taxi however was only 5 euros into town or a 20 minute walk.. Would definately visit again.

The views over the bay- are spectacular, you can even see the planes landing and taking off from the only airport runway overlooking a small beach - quite a show. 5 minutes drive from Skiathos Town although an ATV is recommended not only to explore the island itself but also to avoid the uphill return path to the hotel. Very comfy beds, pillows, couch everything. We loved the apartment, it has everything you could possibly need and the view from the balcony is so nice. Super friendly staff - reception is actually the bar next to the swimming pool The best restaurant in all Skiathos is within walking distance from Vigles - definitely try Agnadio - the reviews don't lie. The second best restaurant on the island (and also the most popular although not as good as Agnadio - is Marmita) On the downside, Although the breakfast is rich and has at least one different plate every day, its quality is not that good but I wouldn't necessarily say it's not worth it. The rooms definitely need an mosquito net

Stayed for two nights.Good Hotel with a nice view over Skiathos Town,port and airport ( you hear and see the planes witch might annoy you. We thought it was fun) rooms are clean (of course the showers could use new silicone,shower heads and some new screws here and there but that's OK-ish though for a rate of €140,- per room incl breakfast,those little issues could be fixed easily to make it perfect)with balcony,a small fridge,good wifi and aircon. Breakfast ist served with love as a buffet at the pool bar( which is also the reception) and offers a big variety ( though a real orange juice And some a nice fruit Salat would make it even better!)the view is stunning and the good filter coffee was actually all I needed. Cocktails,snacks and iced coffee etc during a day at the pool are good and prices are reasonable.though an extra fridge with free bottled water for the hotel guests would be awesome. The staff is very friendly and our transfer to the airport worked out fine. But the Taxi situation is kinda stressed (after dinner you could easily wait an hour in the queue at the taxi counter in town) and the hotel is up the hills - we decided to walk( 20 mins) but in the heat it might be tough so rent a car or quad or book transvers in advance.( around € 7,- one way) There are two great restaurants / taverns close by if you don't want to go to town. Over all we had a great time and would book vigles again. As a gay male couple we felt welcomed ( some guests at the pool were little irritated - but aren't we used to it?!;))and I would call it a gay friendly hotel and island.

Very tasty breakfast but the beds aren't soft enough and the room doors let in the corridor light at night which makes it hard to sleep if you don't have a sleeping mask. The pool is great, the airport didn't bother us.

Staff is wonderful and always helped us with advice for new places to check out. It's clean, and I don't mean the usual daily cleaning, I mean spotless cleaning everyday. You have a wonderful pool with an amazing panorama over the island. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices and everything is fresh and tasty. Melody, the small dog on the property that keeps the cats away. Don't feed it any breakfast snacks because she is on a special diet! We don't have enough words to express our gratitude for our wonderful stay at this location.
