★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to be. The hike from Monodendri to Vikos village is really nice and has great views. Stop by the springs near Vikos village for a refreshing (but ice cold) dip in the river. The hike itself doesn't go across the river bed too often, and is more foresty—but nice nonetheless.

If you're going down to the river make sure to take water and ready yourself for a challenging walk both down and up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly breathtaking views and an experience I won't forget! I went with my family and for the people that want a bit of a scare you can take a path after the Μονη της Αγίας Παρασκευής that will lead you to a path that as long as you watch out you will enjoy a lot. There are also coffee shops nearby to stop by and have a snack or a drink before leaving. Highly suggested sight!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crossing the gorge had been one of the most exhilarating experiences I've had for years. The nature of absolutely gorgeous and the swim at the springs beyond refreshing. We started from Monodendri village and the first 3-4 km were challenging but it gets easier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Canyon itself worth passing by (12km) by foot. Place with good view but not heart taking like fiords in Norway. Anyhow with road access up to almost end of the cliff worth recommending for people which don’t like walking a lot ;-) or handicapped/ disabled. As place is easy accessible and view not to forget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably best easy place to visit around for perfect views. Easy access, you can ride car on good road untill top. On way to valley /mountain view there are great interesting stones to see too.
