Villa Olia - Prinés

We had a fabulous three week holiday at Villa Olia this summer. The villa is even more spacious than it looks which gives a lovely relaxed feel when you are inside. Outside, the pool is beautiful and the patio area is huge which adds to the feeling of luxury. We were a party of 8, us and our two teenagers, two in their twenties, and their grandparents. Villa Olia suited us all and was plenty big enough for everyone. The bedrooms are well appointed and the en-suite to each room is a bonus, giving much appreciated privacy. Stella and her family gave us such a warm welcome which continued throughout our stay, with regular deliveries of local homemade food to enjoy. Stella also helped with organising our hire car before we arrived and gave us tips on where to visit and restaurants to try. Prines is a fantastic village, with 3 tavernas within a few minutes walk of the villa. The food in all three is great and again, the welcome is wonderful. The villa is close to the heart of the village but remains very private, it is not overlooked at all. The bus service to Rethymno is regular, cheap and reliable so getting in and out of the bigger town is easy. Overall I highly recommend Villa Olia and would be delighted to stay there again.
