A ‘magical’ experience is how I’d describe the beautiful Vima Villa in Emporeio.. the moment you arrive at the cobblestone pathway in this gorgeous village you are greeted by Martine & Sebastion the wonderful super hosts of this lovely getaway that they have lovingly created together! We loved our stay in this little piece of paradise the cave house is exactly as the pictures show, well fitted out , nice little touches throughout, comfy beds & sitting areas, ocean views and that ‘hot tub’ we fell in love with! A cute little cafe just down one of the many pathways to the village square full of fresh fruit & veg , bakery etc ... very authentic & traditional ? Thank you so much for your hospitality Martine & Sebastion you were both so welcoming ?? we will definitely be back ! Tom & Alexi Sydney Australia Xx

The most wonderful place to spend your holidays :-) Highly recommend ? from all my heart . Wonderful owners will take care of everything to make your holidays very special ? Place is hidden in a quiet area of Santorini so you will avoid all busy & crazy center. You can rest, relax & have a great time with your friends, family or even alone ?

So, I really like & know the lovely couple that runs Vima Santorini, so this could make me biased... however, I cannot seem to stop coming back to their place on Santorini. It is gorgeous! It has all of the charm of a Greek house, with a modern twist - very comfortable and cozy. Great outdoor space and Martine/Seb are always very willing to share their Santorini secrets. Best sunsets, restaurants, wines, beaches, you name it, they’ll know a great place. Cannot recommend them enough. Will be going on my 3rd trip this fall ?

Villa Vima and its owners offer everything we looked for in a stay on Santorini. Firmly anchored in typical Santorini-heritage, their residence provides something that is hard to find in modern Santorini: authenticity. Whereas most tourist accommodations on the island give you exactly what’s in that name: a tourist accommodation, Villa Vima is much more. Yes, there’s plenty of amenities that allow for a comfortable holiday, luxurious even. But, unlike your average accommodation in Oia or Thira, Villa Vima also immerses you in a real Cycladic Greek feeling. We stayed well over a week and felt like the locals of Emporio had taken us in in their community. The hosts were very kind, caring and also fun. While walking through the major tourist attractions of Santorini, after a few hours we already started longing for the peace and genuineness of the only real Greek village of Santorini. I mean, not to take anything away from the breathtaking beauty of the views, churches and other attractions of the major tourist sites of Santorini, the fact of the matter is that over the years, those towns’ house have been replaced by hotels. Their residents have moved away, leaving nothing but tourists and no original town life. Emporio, however, still has a bustling village life allowing you to feel what life on Santorini is like. When sitting in the hot tub at sunset, we would just stare at the view, the town below us, the rising moon, the sea… Closing our eyes, we would hear a donkey braying, goats bleating, kids being put to bed… the real village life. We walked to the end of the world… of Emporio. Just following the road until the village ended, we stumbled upon a monastery in a cactus forest and found actual quiet. Serenity. Solitude. Tranquility. And we understood why they built the monastery there. We sat there and meditated for a while, a felt in a way that money can’t buy. Well actually, money does buy you a stay at one of the nicest houses in that same village. Which is the next best thing to living there. Although it may sound like Emporio is isolated, it most certainly is not. Every attraction on the island is close by, but not too close, allowing you to retire after a busy day trip. The house itself has all the essentials we needed. Our host kindly welcomed us with a selection of lovely local foods. The house is old and original, but has been remodeled and revamped in a very stylish and tasteful way. You can not go wrong with a stay at VIlla Vima. Oh and have I mentioned that our hosts are very nice and helpful? Seriously, they were a great help with so many tips and answers to questions about the island. And pleasurable company. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thanks again.

One of the hidden gems on Santorini. You can lounge and admire the climbing vines or use the private fantastic pool and take a great shower at the traditional villa built over 300 years ago. The house and furniture merges into the scenery perfectly from dusk to dawn. A coffee in the kitchen with a superb view in the morning and a white wine with comfort food in the early evening (which you can get in the traditional village). The ultimate holiday is however guaranteed by the owners Martine & Seb. Restaurant, beach, cocktail bar tips are the best and when in need of anything they are always close by. Or far away if you want privacy :-) We - including the teenagers - loved (team) Vima....

Santorini is one the most beautiful and spectacular islands on this planet. Unfortunately it does get a little crowded in Summer. So, what do you do when you want to enjoy the beauty of the island, but not stay at a touristy place? You book this beautifully renovated, historic home, located in the gorgeous village of Emporio. The place is absolutely breathtakingly awesome. The two owners built the house themselves and did an amazing job. The pictures speak for itself. Book this place, enjoy the tub, the BBQ and the views. You won’t regret it.

If you are looking for a perfect romantic holiday spot you should definitely go and visit @VimaSantorini. The accommodations are full of luxury and the location is outstanding. The hosts Martine and Sebastian are two genuine people who care about the environment, the town and your experience. I recommend everybody to book a holiday in one of their homes.
