J	Jiří Kadeřábek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recommend climbing up to Zakros, having lunch there and take the Old Road back to Minoan Palace. In that way you can experience the Gorge of the Dead first and then look down to it from those magnificent hills... Swimming in the sea is your bonus!
H	Henriette Kool on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful! Wear good shoes, bring water and enjoy! At the end you will find nice taverna’s with good local food. If you are adventures, you can swim in the small stream. In April the water was cold, but worth it!

J	Jane Leigh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fabulous trek amongst some wonderful wildlife. We parked at Car Park B and followed the track down. It's steep for the first 25% or so so wear good shoes. Once on the valley floor it's still a bit rough in places but generally flat. We had to step across the river in numerous places, and if your balance isn't good you might get wet feet !! Beautiful wildflowers & butterflies and a very welcome meal at a taverna at the end.
M	Michaela Sharman (thehungrytravellers.blog) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Hike, rugged scenery. Not too difficult. Took us about 70 minutes to walk through the gorge from entrance B to Kato Zakros. Some nice Tavernas at the end for refreshments. There is a bus a couple times a day to take you back to your car or there were taxis. We chose to walk back which was also not too difficult.
