A very scenic and beautiful site for the former Roman provincial center of Crete. Tour only takes about 30 min and is well worth it!

Surprisingly well preserved ruins of a Roman settlement. Both main attractions - the agora and the basilica are definitely worth visiting, in the odeon, one can see the marble flooring as well as fine masonry in all the details. Very interesting insight into Roman history on a Greek island.

Small but v interesting selection of Doric, Roman and early Christian remains. Also a nice shady spot for refreshments. Good for a short visit.

The place is clean and calm, great if you are interested in early Byzantine history. The walk amongst trees and ruins is pleasant. Unfortunately, much of the ruins is not included in the area and difficult to access.

Not worth the effort and fee (6€). The side is very small and there are no additional descriptions of what you see. Without a guide you see just old stones. The handout with a "map" is a joke. The field on the opposite side of the street is even more disappointing. Save your money and get 1-2 wines in a local Tarvene

This place was a main cretan Roman-Byzantine city in the 7th century. The organized archaeological site consist only of the st Tito church and the small theater. and it's a nice walk in the trees by the river with nice shady benches. BUT the archaeological excavation is really huge and very interesting and it's scattered in the area outside the main organized area in the olive trees and you should definitely visit (it's mostly fenced and you can only see it from the outside, but still). The Google map has pretty accurate points for the temple of appolo and the agyptian god temple. One should search for them also

not too much to visit inside, all the other are outside that you can visit freely without paying the 6€ entrance fee. the lady from the pay desk is not very knowledgeable or she is not interested to be bothered by tourists. go to Phaistos and skip this one. the other objectives that are outside are hard to reach as those are in the olive yard and hard to reach.

Interesting. Perhaps some points need some maintenance and others are undervalued. Discordant opening hours. Well worth a visit and some time.
