We rented a car at the airport, the car appeared to be broken. We had to change it for another car at the company headquarters in Rethymnon. The replacement car was also broken and dangerous to drive: suspension, brakes, locks and gearbox was broken. The staff in Rethymnon told us to be very careful as the car was dangerous!!!! We asked for another car but we were told that no other car was available. We only used the car to drive to the hotel. At then end I asked for a partial reimbursment which was refused. This company cannot be trusted and acts in an irresponsible way. My advise: rent elsewhere if you do not want to be ripped off. We rented a car at the airport, the car appeared to be broken. Regarding the reply of Eurocars: I am not surprised about the rather aggressive reply of Eurocars. The reply shows the level of respect they have for their customers and it includes two additional incorrect statements. First, I asked a reimbursement when I changed the car in Rethymnon but this was waived away and I was told that I could always rent elsewhere. That would mean that I lost my money and that I was standing in the middle of nowhere late in the evening with two small kids and luggage. They know of course that you don’t have any choice. Secondly, contrary to what Eurocars states, their written offer did not state that the car was very old and even less that it is not in technical order and not safe to drive. If this would have been the case, no normal person would order such a car and would certainly not pay 50% more than any other small car. A car can be a bit older but it must always be in perfect and save technical condition. This was not the case. Even though Eurocars should reimburse 100% of the price for delivering a car which is dangerous and which is not in technical order to drive, a gentlemen’s agreement of a 50% reimbursement is also waived away although this would be a good deal compared with a juridical follow-up through the European consumer organisation. Having been more than constructive, what other alternatives are there for such behavior?

We have arrived around 3am and instead of getting Jeep Renegade had no choice and received not roadworthy ,old ,squeaking Vitara. When asked for compensation been told that I will spend the night at the police station and “we will see who win” and not to waste the time on our holidays. George was super unprofessional like the company he works for. If I forgot about something there is the emails script still available.
