★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As per the other reviews, they charge your credit card with no authorisation for made up faults with the car, there’s lots of other car rentals at the airport, use any other one except this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am charged on my creditcard while we delivered the car back with a FULL tank and no damage at all..... confirmed by Avis employee....difficult to get in touch with Avis kefalonia....this feels very bad.
According to Avis Greece we damaged the car and signed for the damage. Today I received the so called confession..but with a fake signature...we did not sign anything...
P.s. after a lot of emailcontact the misunderstanding has been solved

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a car before our arrival through a third party site, with insurance included (offered by the third party site). Upon our arrival the check-in at the Avis counter was very fast. They offered us additional Avis insurance, which we refused without problems. The car was not the one requested, but one compatible per class. At the initial inspection we reported all the pre-existing damage to the bodywork and obtained a copy of the evaluation. On delivery, there were no problems: they only checked that the tank was full and that there was no macroscopic damage. Excellent service, low price. Recommended!

Edit - A Mercedes s class to a toyota auris is a downgrade, you cannot argue with that.
