★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το μονοπάτι απο τ Απεράθου μέχρι την Αγία Κυριακή είναι περίπου 1:15, αλλά είναι μαγικό!! Σε πολλά σημεία είναι καλντερίμι περνάς και απο την γέφυρα του καμηλάρι. Αξίζει.
The path from Aperathos to Agia Kyriaki is about 1:15, but it is magical !! In many places it is a cobbled path and you pass by the camel bridge. Worth.

It is an exceptional icon of the ninth century in Naxos. Award-winning church ? with frescoes. It has painted birds depicting the 12 Apostles and a large bird depicting Christ. Agia Kyriaki is built of stone and high on the ridge of the mountain with incredible sea views, in Moutsouna. ❤️

Немного сложноват доступ, но видимо, из-за такого не очень простого подхода к ней эта красавица-церковь пронесла сквозь века, начиная со смутного времени иконоборчества и по сегодняшний день свою красоту, намоленность и завораживающий вид, когда она становится видна из-за гор!
Very beautiful church of St. Kiryaki! Access is a bit difficult, but apparently, due to such a not very simple approach to it, this beautiful church carried through the centuries, from the time of troubles of iconoclasm to the present day, its beauty, prayer and mesmerizing view when it becomes visible from behind the mountains !

Η Αγία Κυριακή αποτελεί μία σπάνια περίπτωση βυζαντινού ναού με διατηρούμενο ανεικονικό διάκοσμο. Το μνημείο αποτελεί πολύτιμη μαρτυρία της Εικονομαχίας, της θεολογικής και πολιτικής διαμάχης σχετικά με την λατρεία των εικόνων, που συντάραξε την Βυζαντινή Αυτοκρατορία κατά τον 8ο και 9ο αι.

Agia Kyriaki is a rare case of a Byzantine church with preserved non-iconic decoration. The monument is a valuable testimony of the Iconoclasm, the theological and political controversy over the worship of icons, which shook the Byzantine Empire during the 8th and 9th centuries.
