★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cook's Club Corfu
We planned relaxing holidays with full care service on Corfu island that we love. We chose the Cook's Club series hotel because of the reviews about their perfect service. But we didn't have what we expected from their promo pics and hotel specifications on the websites.
What was the best thing? Design of the hotel - boho style with many fancy details and lovely decorations. The room was clean and comfy with personalised air condition. We didn't like separate beds - in our room reservation was king size. But there was no noise isolation, and you could hear everything from the halls and neighbours. We enjoyed their small gym, which was well equipped. You could enjoy yoga sessions in the morning or HIIT with the coach. However, the hotel's location is not for runners because you are next to the island's main road. A shuttle bus to Kerkyra would be nice during the rainy days too.
What about the food? They started with a new model of all-inclusive dining. But, of course, it could be anything but not all-inclusive at all. So breakfast was the same daily: English breakfast, pastry, tomatoes, cucumber, watermelons- Nothing special at all.
The mobile app ordered lunch and dinner. It was working on iPhones. Android users had problems with it. You could choose from 15 to 20 dishes. For people with gluten intolerance was just gluten-free pasta. For vegetarians, just salads usually. They had a problem with the coordination of work and timing. We waited more than 20 minutes for our dishes. There was no snack bar, salad or fruit bar during the day.
We were in an "ala carte" restaurant once during our stay. The food was prepared with care and tasted excellent. But you couldn't order all of the food from the menu.
What was terrible was their bar service. There was one bar in the lobby and the second next to the pool. Only two bartenders knew how to prepare drinks from the menu. As a result, they were overworked and exhausted. The rest of the staff knew nothing about "mixology and perfect coffee." As a result, there were long evening queues for drinks and even longer for water during the day. But you can buy a bottle of water in their shop, which is open daily.
The pool was nice and clean, with a lot of chlorine disinfection. Sun beds were comfortable, but you had to leave your stuff here before breakfast because there was a lack of it for the hotel's total capacity.
Promised DJ sessions with pool vibes were annoying- too noisy, too monotonous. When we asked the staff if it's possible to turn the volume down, it worked just for half an hour. So instead, we enjoyed just one of the DJ playlists - DJ Ervin Horvat, who was excellent. The evening program with live music started late every time. There were private sections with reservations for VIPs near the pool.
If you saw the promo pictures of Gouvia beach near the hotel, you have to count 30 minutes of walk to this place and with water with the accent of gasoline from the marina. If you want to enjoy the beautiful beaches and sea of the Greece islands, you have to rent a car and travel for it.
To sum it up: It was a golden cage with many promises. You can spend an excellent bachelor's party for two nights here (If you can handle waiting for drinks), but it is not for a more extended stay. They have a lot of work to do for five stars service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing experience where you are made to feel very special and a part of their family. There is a clear ethos from the family owners to build a hotel which raises the bar of five star expectations and deliver an experience where you immediately feel welcome and relaxed. Our time here was incredible thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great new hotel that only opened the beginning of the month and clearly had a few teething issues only to be expected. The hotel is modern well designed. Food has been good only issue with the app is it gives no description of what the meal is so often having to Google the more unusual items and orders dont come together. Pool music is very modern techno with little variety from in house Dj. The audience ranges from 20s to alot older, the latter which are not catered for. The staff work very hard but clearly still learning to run a busy bar. Pool bar is usually quieter. Location of hotel is good with bus no 7 outside hotel for Corfu or to the other areas of the island. Great views from the front of the hotel across Gouvia bay. Overall Hotel is finished to a great standard. Staff are very helpful and have to say we have been impressed Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As it only opened a week ago, the people with Greek names who reviewed it a month ago with 5 stars must be staff or friends. The positives - the pool is lovely, and a decent temperature. Our showers (two rooms as we’re here with our adult daughter) are both great. Trendy electronic Do Not Disturb signs. Lifts work well. Location pretty good - short stroll into Gouvia. Negatives - the food. Very poor. Bring back a buffet where at least everyone can find something they like. Order off the App and everything comes at different times, anything in the comments is ignored. If you don’t like pizza or pasta every meal you will struggle. Pool snack bar has devices letting you know when your food is ready, but it won’t necessarily be what you ordered. Limited choices, but even then items running out early in the day. Raw chicken one meal wasn’t a good experience. Only starter is soup or a basic salad. Glad we aren’t vegetarian. The staff - trying their best but lack basic training. They are googling how to make cocktails. Queues at the bars probably due to this but also feel a bit short staffed. Not quite enough sun beds to go round, so people reserving them early. Lack of info at checkin of how everything works (e.g. food off the App but not drinks). I hope this is all teething problems but it’s certainly far from a 5-star customer service experience currently. They need to urgently sort out the choice and quality of the food, and train the staff more. And we aren’t generally complainers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the concept of the hotel giving it a party vibe for the young people and the design and decor are amazing. However there are still some things that need to be worked out.
First of all, the staff. The people working there are super friendly and gave us a lot of helpful tips about the surrounding beaches and places to visit.
But you can tell the staff are really overworked. The man by the pool that does the towels and the chairs is covered in sweat and he has to do everything by himself, i felt really bad for the man.
Some of the bartenders are also quite inexperienced resulting in long lines at the bars.
They try really hard to serve the people as fast as possible but it’s too much. It’s sad see the managers just standing around and not helping while there are very long lines.
The opening hours of the restaurants are not to be found anywhere but you can ask the people at the lobby and they will tell you.
The food in restaurant was alright, sometimes i did get cold food or not very tasteful. You have to order from an application you download on your phone.
Also it says all inclusive but not everything is included in the price. Most import drinks and cocktails you still have to pay for.
The rooms are very well designed but it is made for couples so don’t expect a lot of privacy when you are traveling with friends.
There are also not a lot of things to do in the hotel other than to sit at the swimming pool and drink.
I would recommend renting a scooter from one of the nearby rentals places and exploring the island.
A spa and tennis court are available.
I see a lot of potential in this hotel but they still need to work out some things. I hope for the sake of the staff they hire more people to easy the workload a bit.
They really need to look at the reviews and fix the things that are wrong with the hotel at this moment.
Im sure a year from now it will be a lot better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vibe & decor were absolutely amazing. Felt so relaxing, everything felt very well designed and spa-like.
They play really loud music during the day in the restaurant, bar and pool area which i found quite annoying - it’s not like the radio or anything it’s mostly just intense drum music, but some people might like it!
The staff were all really nice but did seem quite inexperienced. They all seemed to have different levels of training which meant that even if you order the same cocktail depending on who you get it’ll probably be a different one.
The cleanliness was okay - I found that the cleaner who cleaned our room would do the bare minimum like make the beds and replace towels but wouldn’t clean the sink, wouldn’t replace toilet roll etc.
The shower was also really prone to flooding, on our last night there was even a flood through the restaurant ceiling which I can only imagine was from one of the showers.
The food was also quite poor. They have an app which you order everything from which was handy, but it’s all in Greek so you have to Google everything- and often times they brought the wrong dish anyway! I’m vegetarian and I’d be lucky if I had one dish to choose from most nights. On the last night we just had to leave the restaurant because it was so rowdy with drunk people, the staff were overrun and we hadn’t had our food served even with almost an hour of waiting and ordering it on the app multiple times.
I think if you’re looking for a hotel where you can get nice pics for insta and some cocktails go for it; but if you’re looking for great service and the best experience you might be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t let the bad reviews put you off. I think as the hotel had just opened there were some teething issues to begin with, but these seem to have evened out. The pool music is like beach house and suits the vibe of the hotel and I didn’t find it too loud, the decor is lovely and it was very clean. There is a lot of choice when it comes to inclusive drinks and the staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint was that the towels weren’t replaced one day, but once I told the reception someone brought fresh towels up within ten minutes. There was lots of food choices even for those who are vegetarian. We did the sound healing and we all really enjoyed it and I also had a massage during my stay which was also very enjoyable.
