The worst postal company i have ever encountered. Ordered €4000 euro worth of items for my shop from China. I understand customs/tax and the paperwork needed but DHL seem to not understand their own business. UPS had it all sorted and delivered instantly once we provided the paperwork, DHL on the other hand have withheld the items for weeks while threatening to send all the items back, constantly asking for the same papers which have been GIVEN in person/email. They obviously have horrible management and it's actually shocking how bad a region of a huge company can be. DHL Greece should be shut down by the Greek government causing small businesses like my own to have thousands in damages due to their incompetence.

I have used DHL for decades but since Brexit, they hold packages from the UK and reject customs clearance although I have paid the taxes (no double taxation with the UK) so now a package I waited so long for will now be returned to the sender back in the UK. I won't be refunded in full and not able to get any compensation for my anguish. A rude employee at import told me to find a broker off the internet if I want to try to solve this issue or they will ship the package back. DHL always works the customs out and I have NEVER had an issue and I even praise them to everyone I know. I always say if you want peace of mind use DHL. But after this horrible experience, I may recommend checking elsewhere more professional and not have someone yell on the phone at you. I am truly horrifically shocked. DHL should check the paperwork better next time and SEE THAT THE TAXES WERE PAID!!!! Now thanks to this I won't be getting my package, nor a full refund and my trusty relationship with the seller in the UK has been damaged. I have more parcels on the way with import duties PAID yet I am having anxiety just anticipating another horrible call from DHL. Some updates! The vendor in the UK says DHL contacted them and said that I was the one who refused the package!!! Why would I refuse something I paid for????? Also the link you sent doesn't exist so I filed two complaints on the online platform!!!!

Since Covid-19 lockdown, they start to keep any good shipped from Non-EU countries at their customs. I used DHL express generally never had issues before. Recently, because I can not travel, my shipments are more. Each time they phone me up. They want me to come to the airport or use their customs brokers. They charge me 70+euros for a shipment does not even value 60 euros sometimes, does not even weight more than 2 kg.. I even have a shipment now they are holding including my personal USED bag , and they were insisting that I must give them an invoice :) Additionally they are quite rude. They act as if it is my mistake. They do not listen, they do not suggest alternatives. Worst thing is, they never send your package back if you do not agree to pay the customs fee. I already pay 30+Euros for the shipments or 22 Euros depending on weight. I will not suggest you to use this company for non-EU country shipments , I can not say much for their service in EU countries.

I am editing this review to add: After all the below mix up and for another delivery, they went out of their way to be helpful and deliver to me a second time - even though they were not under any obligation to do so... I must also say that it is great that I could get them on the phone easily each time I called them... and that it is great that they have arranged to have a convenient pick-up-point near my home that I and others can use in case things are unable to be delivered... We don't have to go a long way to one of their busy offices etc... so in light of these things and the difficult times, I have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars and would even give 5 stars but don't feel it is fair /that i can based on what happened below... -- this review is not necessarily about this office, it might be, but it is about DHL in general... The one star was because I was at least able to get them on the phone quickly... The driver lied, saying that he has passed by my house when he hadn't ( i was home all day ) and then proceeded to give my parcel to a dispatch center WITHOUT letting me know, without even leaving a note ( usually when other courier companies lie and say they rang the doorbell when they haven't, they at least leave a note ... ) and so 2 weeks later, i finally had to track the package myself and call them, only to see the lies and that it has been ready to deliver for the last 2 weeks... This was a package that I needed... I understand that Covid is making things harder but DON"T LIE and AT LEAST let the customer know where they can pick up their package ( the dispatch spot it is only a few blocks walking distance away from me... they get the star for that as well - that at least they have a spot nearby that I can go and pick it up... ) I am very unhappy about being lied to and having to wait so much longer without reason...

Extremely rude employees, disrespectfully sorting through my parcel. Extremely unprofessional with 4 staff onlooking in what seemed to have been for pure enjoyment.

I visit it today, and for a shipping service from Greece to Slovakia, there ask charge me two hundred euro... At least there say me: We not force you.... I guess probably because German and Greek countries relationship on tensions on economic benefits

If there would be a -10 rating I would give that... What a disappointment. Paying hundreds of euros to send a box from Athens to Accra and you cannot even address the box properly. It is a month later and I am still waiting for the box to be cleared. If you would have just addressed the box as you were asked and valued the content correctly it would have been delivered without paying any duties or storage fees. Besides I am not supposed to pay any taxes because of the diplomatic status. STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! In any case I will never use DHL Athens again and would not recommend to anyone.... If I had known this beforehand I would have never used your service.

I have a bad experience with this local office, i have received a bad service attention, the employ of the local office tells me that y shold wait ourside of office when they can't resolve my problem. Firstly, i think you should teach your staff well how to service your customers, secondly you should inform well to your customers about local requeriments. Next time if happen this case again, i will request complain sheet or i'll look for customers complains organization.
