This is a hidden gem!!! This is the one thing every person going to Santorini must do! For €5, we got a tour of “a day in the life” on the island of Santorini back in the 18th century. We saw a real, preserved home (bedrooms, furniture, items, kitchen, etc.) and workshops (primary exports of the island)- with a lot of good knowledge and info from the tour guide. The tour guide/ museum manager was a kind and friendly woman; we join an existing tour a quarter of the way in- she let us join in, and once everyone else left, gave us a tour of things we had missed.

Hidden gems of Santorini. When we came by there's no other visitor so we got to take the guided tour privately. It cost us only 5€ per person which is a small amount to help contribute to the up keep of the museum. There is also a lot of nice apot for photo. Definitely worth a visit

One of my favorite museum experiences. We toured an old cave house and saw how a family from the late 1800s lived their daily lives. It was great to learn about the general history of Santorini and how a family lived on the island. Everything is well-preserved and it’s a a generally beautiful museum. I highly recommend it!

A highlight of our time in Santorini. We had had some great pool and beach days and wanted to complement that with some history and culture. The curator was very friendly and knowledgeable. My son stayed entertained the whole time and it was a good contrast to see how people used to live Vs. our modern fast paced lives. It was 5 euro for an adult and free for a child. I gave extra in the donation box because we enjoyed it very much.

amazing museum, a "must do" when you are also interested in the traditional history of the santorini Island. for a low and fair price of 5€ (adults) you get a personal tour in many different parts of the museum, there are also fascinating caves. it is absolutely worth the price. the guide is very friendly and knows details of the island's rich history.
