H	Himel Khandker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience. Had us wait for over an hour because despite us being there during opening hours, the entire place was locked down and closed. Nobody was in sight. We waited over an hour to pick up our car and had to keep calling the number that is written on the door two or three times before someone arrived with our car. To note, we had a reservation. Also to reiterate, the place was locked down during its posted business hours. When the employee with the car came, no apology was made for the wait and no explanation other than the fact that we were late for our car pick up. No reconciliation of the fact that the place was locked down during posted business hours. To make things worse, she knew we were taking the car from Heraklion to Chania where we would drop it off early morning in order to catch our flight. She kept telling us to call her colleagues at Chania Airport who would assist. When we called, Chania Airport Enterprise told us that it was Heraklion who was supposed to arrange it since they were the ones that we rented the car from originally. This lead to further headaches and issues including additional fees that Enterprise Heraklion knew we'd have to incur but made to effort to convey when we initially rented it. I normally have no issues with Enterprise in North America, but stay away from this one.

However we were required to call and wait for around 20 min to give the car back. The worst thing was that deposit was refunded when 28 days passed. In France they return deposit back during the week.

The price was excellent but the car was not up to the enterprise rental standards. For better quality cars I recommend the airport location. The staff were friendly but could offer no solutions.

The car we ordered wasn't available (this is typical in the rental business, no?) but a similar and equally good car was provided (probably nicer that what we had ordered/paid for). The car was great, very new, clean, fuel efficient. We did have to wait about 15-20 minutes for the return but this was to be expected because the office had posted closed hours during the midday. So no surprise there, no problem. The employee was also very kind and personable, and even dropped us near our hotel to save us the expense of a taxi. We were very happy overall.

Our ferry landed and we were finally able to get ahold of them, where they told us that they cancel reservations after two hours - and are overbooked, so have no cars available for us. We are stranded. Never again. EDIT: To reply to Enterprise’s response - as stated in the initial review, we attempted to call before to inform about the delay, but your office is closed in the middle of the day. We called right when we had reception again upon arriving at the port - our time stamp of the call is 20:01, so right at 2 hours and 1 minute of our time, the reserved car was no longer available. You also said you were overbooked - so wonder how many other reservations you did not fulfill. We were left stranded and needed to adjust all of our plans on our honeymoon trip. Avoid at all costs.
