Τα βότανα και τα δέντρα που συναντά κάθε ορειβάτης, είναι πολλά και κάποια από αυτά, σπάνια. Στην έξοδο του φαραγγιού, θα δείτε την εκκλησία του Αγίου Αθανασίου. Αν έχετε χρόνο, προτείνεται να ανεβείτε στην κορυφογραμμή, ύψους 781 μέτρων από το ύψος της θάλασσας, και η θέα θα σας ανταμείψει, καθώς βλέπετε όλο τον κόλπο της Κισσάμου! Η επιστροφή μπορεί να γίνει με την κατάβαση του φαραγγιού ή με την πεζοπορία προς το χωριό Κατσοματάδος.
