We rented a car and scooters and they all had problems. There was no sunscreen in the car for the driver at all, pretty important thing when driving against the sun. First they try to give us scooter with missing side mirror and the other scooter didn’t have enough gasoline even for the next gas station. We got finally other scooters but we had to wait longer than we excepted and service was very rude.

The car we had matched our expectations. Quite new, with many options. Overall it was satisfactory. However, the customer service clearly lacks professionalism. When we met the company for them to pick up the car, they were half an hour late. They've never tried to call or inform us. When we called the headquarters, they had no clue. And unapologetic about it. When confronted about it, they found lame excuses, but never apologized. Clearly some briefing about customer service is needed at this company.

Do not recommend. I made a reservation by email 3 months before the trip with my family. One week before I checked and I received an email confirmation that everything was ok with my reservation. On the arrival date my flight departed 40 min later and I sent an email informing about it once we should meet the person with the car at the exit of the airport. Once we landed I checked my email and I received a message that due to the late arrival my reservation was cancelled. No options, no respect to the customer. I was at the airport with my wife and my 5 years boy with no assistance. I should take a taxi to go to my hotel and once there I went to Flisvos office. They confirmed my reservation was cancelled and proposed to me to make a new reservation but 2x more expensive than the previous one. To not loose time in my vacation trip I accepted despite the higher price. I received a very used car (no problem for me) but with the engine light always on. I requested to change the car and the answer was that it was the only one available. After they explained me they knew about this problem and that the light was on only because of the poor quality of the local fuel. I requested at least if the car could be checked by a mechanic and they requested me to come back in 1h. 1h later the mechanic was not there... I gave up and took the car to start my vacation. Hopefully the car didn't present any issue during the 6 days I stayed in Crete, but the engine light on all time has really bored me every minute. Conclusion: I got to enjoy my vacation in Crete but it would be much better if Flisvos respected more their clients. Cancel a reservation on the arrival date because a flight arrived 40 min later is not acceptable. It was completely out of my control.

Scammers, false advertising. You have to accept a mandatory insurance for €30 a day in order to make a reservation. This will double the price of the rental

Not a good start. Some kind of miscommunication between the staff at the airport, so, although we were the first to meet the staff, we got told someone else (female member) would take over from him and look after us. She completely blanked us and dealt another two families who arrived last, then came back to the 2nd family to arrive and drove them off somewhere, never to return! After standing outside the airport for 15 mins wondering 'what the f___??', i was just about to phone their office when the original guy pulled up and noticed us. Very apologetic but finding it all amusing he crammed 2 adult, 2 children, 2x20kg cases and 4 x10kg cases in to his Corsa sized car and took us to our 'car'. After filling in all the paperwork a Peugeot 308SW was presented to us. After moving it out from the fence, in order to pack our stuff in to the boot, we were about to start our lovely adventure in Crete.... But after jumping in the car it wouldn't go in to gear!! It would with the engine off, but not when running. After the Flisvos staff looked at it, it was decided that a replacement would be provided. 40-50 minutes later an older Peugeot 307SW was brought to us. Drove this half a mile down the road and the engine light came on and the car started shuddering. Turned around and took it back. Informed us that there was no problem with the car and the engine light wasn't an issue... (Why not get it fixed so it doesn't light up on the dashboard then??) A car that shudders when driving doesn't seem to me to be a car that's ok to drive, but I've only been driving for 32 years... What do I know?? After complaining about this car I was told to drive to Almyrida (30 odd minutes away) as they have more cars there to swap with the 307SW, and that they would ring ahead and let them know the situation. Got there, only to be told again that the engine light being on wasn't an issue (my wife was also annoyed as she couldn't even open her window as the passenger side switch is faulty) and having again to explain that the car is juddering when driven, which, to me is an engine issue and maybe why the light is on.... Not happy, but stated that we could collect a replacement vehicle from 10am tomorrow. Asked if it could be dropped off with us, as we're staying another 30 minutes away from the shop, which they, thankfully, agreed. After Flivos being recommend by a nice Swiss gentleman (?Stefan), we thought everything would be a-ok, but we've not found Flivos to be all that reliable, right from the get go! **Pleasant and apologetic, but that's not enough when you've been up since 3am (UK time), then stuck on a Ryanair flight that was sat on the ground for an hour because it missed its slot and everyone is tired, hungry and just wants to see the beauty of Crete!** Hopefully tomorrow Flivos will come through with their promise of a better (roadworthy) vehicle and I can adjust this review, but up to now I wouldn't recommend (Sorry Stefan). Update Pleased to say Flisvos came through with the replacement vehicle (Peugeot 308sw) which is a vast improvement over the 307 (runs a lot better and newer). Thank you for sorting this Flisvos. Only downside up to now is the AC isn't all that powerful, but that maybe due to the weather being THAT hot it just can't keep up (or the AC may need servicing). Not a deal breaker by any means, just nice to have that blast of cool air now and again.

We visited the 3rd week of September, not a particularly busy point in the season. We chose this company because they were willing to deliver the car to a neighboring village. We paid for a new Toyota Yaris; 240€ for 6 days including full insurance. The man who dropped the car to us was friendly, we thought picking us up in his own car, to take us to get the rental. Reason being, the vehicle was about 10 years old, had scratches/ dents on all sides of the car, and the passenger window didn’t work. When we arrived to complete the car paperwork we were told that was the only car they had, and we could take it or leave it. The “good news” was the air conditioning worked to make up for the fact that the passenger window did not work (nor did the radio). We also had to ask them to note on the paperwork that insurance was included, although had we had an accident I’m not sure you would have been able to tell based on the condition of the car. The woman at the desk seemed annoyed we would ask her to tick this box, to ensure we were covered. Our holiday plans included driving the Island quite a bit. 3 days in we spent the day on the beach, came back to the car and it wouldn’t start. We were 2 hours away from the rental office at that point. When we called they said they would send someone to get us. No other option, wait for them to come from 2 hours away. Fair enough. While waiting we continued to try to start the car and by some miracle it started so we didn’t have to wait, but spent the next 3 days wondering whether the car would start each time we got in it. We couldn't get a different one, as they said again, they didn't have any. The protocol to drop the car off at the airport is to drop it in a shared lot and leave the keys. This may be the standard process for car rental in Crete but we did wonder whether at some point we would be held liable for the condition of the car even though it was like that when we received it. We called to remind them that the car clearly had an issue since it hadn’t started, window/ radio was broken, and they informed us that they had already rented it out to someone new who had already picked it up. Good luck to that person…. Don’t choose this car company.

We rent a motocycle for 2 weeks and we didn't have the one in picture : without windscreen. Moreover, they say "new model, good condition", our was in really bad condition : left direction indicator was broken and didn't work (not safe), the speed indicator not working... for 2 weeks they could has rent us a safe motorcycle...

They were really pleasant to deal with over email. Decent price compared to other providers. Car was clean and reliable. Bit old, which was a shame. Maybe needed a service too. Breaks were squeaking and could hear rustiness. Drop off process not great. Nobody there, had to look for somebody to leave the keys with and ask to be driven to the airport in the van. Seemed a bit annoyed to be driving us.
