Global -rent a car - Athens Downtown - Leof. Andrea Siggrou 22

I am surprised there are so many negative reviews. I found this company on an aggregator site and their price was really good so I decided to take a risk and rent a car here. The company is actually called Caldera but they have a Global sign board at their office. As they explained to me they are partners. So let's assume that Caldera and Global are the same company in Athens. Well anyway I was a bit nervous to book there because I had also read all those negative review on Google, but after all everything was perfect! They gave a better car than I expected, it was almost new, and the price was almost twice cheaper than the price offered by competitors! So I believe it's the competitors who leave all those stinking negative reviews, not real people! At least most of them. I picked up my Fiat at Caldera-Global office in the center and dropped off 2 weeks later at Caldera office near the airport. Then they gave us a shuttle ride to the airport and that's all! Absolutely no problems! So don't believe everything you read on the internet! I am sure that most of those negative reviews are FAKE!!! This company is just like any other rent-a-car company with one difference - they are CHEAPER! LOL. Thank you for your attention.

I rented a car here though Rentalcars and I believe the ratings there were average. I later reviewed the evaluations in here and I was scared and concerned. My experience with them has been good, as you should expect from a totally professional people. I went in the morning as scheduled and my car was ready with all requirements I requested. Just as it should be. I did not do any line and when I finished there was only another person waiting. The guy at the office was nice and professional, better than average. And when I returned the car at the airport (at Eurocar location) everything worked normal.

Watch out for the con. Car rented for 10 days in Athens.Very bad quality of car: worn tires, worn brakes too, used wiper blades and passenger mirror cracked in several places. We had taken this vehicle anyway, having noticed at the beginning only the cracked passenger mirror. On the way back, someone checked out without us, and we were even held back from going. Of course, this person found a scratch (brand new, still with the dust from the scratch). We were sure that the scratch wasn't there.At first the agency wanted to keep the 800€ bail, but then as we protested and threatened to call the police, it went down to 100€. Taking advantage of our poor quality exchanges in English, the 3 people from the agency treated us very badly, shouting loudly, also threatening to call the police when we accused them of having voluntarily made this scratch when we were in the agency. Not wanting to spend the afternoon at the agency, at the police station or to have our bail withheld, we finally paid the last requested amount of 186€, although we suspected it was a scratch made by the person from the agency who had gone out very quickly to check out alone. No documents proving this payment and the details were not provided to us. No documents proving this payment or details were provided to us. Agency to flee absolutely !!! Attention à l'arnaque. Voiture louée pour 10 jours à Athènes. Très mauvaise qualité de voiture : pneus usés, freins usés aussi, balais d'essui-glace usagés et miroir du rétroviseur passager fêlé en plusieurs endroits. Nous avions pris quand même ce véhicule n'ayant constaté au départ que le rétroviseur passager fêlé. Lors du retour, quelqu'un a fait de check out sans nous, on nous a même retenus pour ne pas qu'on y aille. Évidemment, cette personne a trouvé une rayure (toute neuve, avec encore la poussière de la rayure). Nous étions sûrs que cette rayure n'y était pas. L'agence a d'abord voulu nous garder les 800€ de caution, puis comme nous avons protesté et menacé d'appeler la police, ça a baissé à 100€. Profitant de nos échanges de mauvaise qualité en anglais, les 3 personnes de l'agence nous ont très mal traitées, criant fort, invoquant le COVID alors qu'eux-mêmes baissaient leur masque pour parler, menaçant eux aussi d'appeler la police quand nous les accusions d'avoir volontairement fait cette rayure quand nous étions dans l'agence au lieu de nous demander de venir pour le check out. Ne voulant pas passer l'après-midi à l'agence, au poste de police ou qu'on nous retienne la caution, nous avons finalement payé le dernier montant demandé de 186€, bien que nous soupçonnions qu'il s'agissait d'une rayure faite par la personne de l'agence qui était sortie très vite pour faire le check out seule. Aucun document prouvant ce paiement ni le détail ne nous a été fourni. Agence à fuir absolument !!!

Worst rental car office ever - and I used a lot. Unskilled and rude personnnel not respecting the contract.

THIEVES! Don't rent a car with this company. You will lose your money, we booked a car in athens and the guy of Global didnt give us the car and was already paid by card, he said the card for the deposit was not correct and kick out saying we have to send an email to the company to refound the money (after, the company sent us an email telling was not posible to refound)

Worst service i ever got. Order through car jet citroen C3 and got fiat doublo. They were not nice and didn't try to help us at all even when they saw that we were very upset and disappointed . Do not rent car from them they not deserve to earn money from us.

Don't go there, we waited for an hour before they picked us up at the airport then we waited even more to get the car and they were all extremely unkind, not helpful at all. In a word: terrible! Really bad experience, I can only recommend to avoid Global car rental in Athens!

Terrible service. Flight was late and they told me that my reservation is cancelled. Also no one to help and after I called three times they told me I had to wait half an hour for someone to get there. Plenty of much more professional options in the area I would suggest you look elsewhere.
