★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anfang November 2020 - Fähre von Heraklion nach Piräus. Fähre hatte ca. 1 Std Verspätung. Einschiffen kein Problem - wobei relativ viel los war. Wie gehabt - mit dem Gesundheitszettel auf Griechisch (Coronafrei) - Maske und gut. Kabinen Zuteilung + ab zum Abendessen. Alles reibungslos. Service auf der Kydon Palace - wie auch schon auf der Knossos Palace - top.
Beginning of November 2020 - ferry from Heraklion to Piraeus. Ferry was about 1 hour late. Embarking is no problem - although it was relatively busy. As usual - with the health note in Greek (Corona-free) - mask and good. Cabin allocation + off to dinner. Everything goes smoothly. Service on the Kydon Palace - as on the Knossos Palace - top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heraklion is a busy city but the suburbs with the beautiful because are absolutely beautiful.
Archeological sites such as the Knossos Palace. The Venetian walls. Food to die for. Very affordable. Very hospitable people. Every convenience available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't see anything beautiful or particular about the place and I hated the noisy and busy road which you have to walk along. For me it wasn't a nice experience and I wish I hadn't been lured to this " tourist attraction". I should have researched the photos first rather than just got exited by all the hype of a "Venetian port". Chania port was much nicer, the place had an atmosphere and cafes to sit in to enjoy a pretty lit domed building and lighthouse in the evening. Heraklion port had nothing like that.
