★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little beach perfect for children, sandy and beautiful surroundings. Clear blue water. A small beautiful church right by the parking lot. A few minutes walk a big park you can walk around. Beaches on both side of the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good time to go to this beautiful beach is in late October right at the end of the tourist season. The clear seawater is still pleasantly warm and the sand is clean.
There are very few people there at this time of the year lending the beach a peaceful and tranquil quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, quite beach outsider of Chania. The water is nice but not always super transparent. Most of the time without waves, however you can get som half meter waves in the evening. Everything is clean and with beds fair priced but a little more than others around. The staff is very nice and cleans/disinfects in the sun beds. Parking is very easy and convenient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice small and cozy beach. You have everything you need - sun beds and umbrellas (10 euro for 2 people), changing room, shower, WC and nice bar. Easy access from Chania with bus 21 (1.10 euro - the bus stop is in front of the beach) and free parking for cars. The water is cristal clean and shallow. The sand is excellent. I can highly recommend the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agii Apostoli = Iguana beach, it has 2 names, but it is the same beach. I didn’t like it at all, but it looked best compared to other 2 beaches near by.
•Good things: it is secluded from the winds and you can find natural shade if you are lucky and fast enough. But the shade from the trees will take over most of the left side of the beach by 3pm.
•Bad things: sand is horrible. It looks like dirt, but 95% of the beaches in Crete look like this beach, and have horrible sand. Don’t let anybody tell you any different! Chalkidiki are Maldives compared to Crete.
Everything is dirty - sand and the water. You can find so many cigarettes and foil everywhere, and other leftovers. But dirt is problem in all the beaches in Crete. Especially in Balos, were there are so many people and nobody cares about anything but themselves. So people are the problem. I also saw several people spitting in the sand which is disgusting and so rude.
The water in this beach is dark, and has some small fishes that are biting you until you just have it enough and go out. Also there are some stones in the shallow water so be careful when you go inside the water.
When we were there, around 2pm a group of fully cloth women went into the water, in their T-shirts and skirts, it looked also rude and disgusting so we just left.

on the beach .
The food and drinks are great through out the day and night ,
Especially the cocktails they are pretty good made by the talented Fotini , you must try them .
Basically all the staff is great and the
environment is perfect .
Personally You can’t beat the
quiet evening , along the beach
with a drink or
a snack in your hand .
Trust me , You’ll be surprised go and check it out you will not be disappointed..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful sandy beach in a lovely little cove.
Ideal for bringing children as very clear water, sandy sea bed and the beach doesn't suddenly drop off like other beaches.
Two sunbeds and a parasol for €10
Plenty of car parking nearby, plus a choice of a couple of other beach bars in neighbouring coves.
Beach bar sells reasonably priced drinks and snacks though can get busy.
