the souvenirs are 2-3 times more expensive than other place. you can find better price around the lake or in the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Newly redeveloped, the Ioannina airport serves a few flights per day, mainly to/from Athens, which makes the passenger experience one of the fastest and least stressful in Greece. Located in the outskirts of Ioannina, reaching the city is fast and affordable. New connections with northern European airports allow for more options for transit flights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The new departure terminal is very modern and clean but the check in area wasn't very well designed. It's small and even for the small flight I was on (around 72 pax) it was a mess... Can't imagine what it will be like when the big flights come. There are not enough toilets before the security (one for each sex). We had a delay because of the fog but we were very well treated. The products in the coffee are not very cheap but fortunately we had a compensation coupon. Security is very little and the waiting area has little space to seat (around 90 seats). Because it's a new airport I hope they pay attention to this details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The airport has been transformed since the last time I visited. It has a new departure/arrivals hall. Drop off area and parking area have been redesigned. The check in area is much nicer and looks clean. Toilets are clean. Make sure you get something to eat and drink before you past security as the waiting area has no shop -yet. Very friendly and polite staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The speakers of the waiting area have very poor sound, this causes anxiety to the passenger. Nevertheless It's a basic service that has to function efficiently.
