I have a theory you can figure out the quality of a restaurant by the bread they bring out first. By this standard Ithaka is already one of the best I've been to anywhere, having started with two kinds of delicious bread and an amazing smoked aubergine dip. Every single thing that followed was equally good. The cocktails were unique, tasty and very well priced (perhaps too much so), the Greek salad was the best I've had, with subtle flavours which stood out by use of high quality olive oil mixed with herbs. I had the seafood orzo pasta which was perfectly cooked with delicate flavours set off with a touch of lemon zest. This was continued with the wine, which I've found sometimes in Greece there isn't much difference between a 30€ and 5€ bottle, this was an exception, it was excellent. In all considering we had cocktails, starters, mains, dessert, wine and an aperitif, it came to about 40€ a person, it easily deserved double. In summary, attention has been paid everything at Ithaka, from the food and drink, down to the tables and cutlery, topped off by the staff who were all lovely and incredibly helpful. It's set a new standard for me and restaurants in Greece, to the point I have to go back and change previous reviews.

The best food experience in the Island, where the high gastronomic standards meets the Greek traditional flavours!! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes & beautiful presentation. You should not miss it!

The dinner and service at Ithaca was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back next time we visit Ios and would highly recommend the restaurant. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is great!

Where do I even begin. Cost me 50 euros and I could have walked out after the complimentary bread and dip and been happy. My lord what a spot. Got the tartar, greek salad and seafood orzo. Every single dish was the best I have had in my life of what it is. Hands down. Absolutely fire on fire on fire on fire on fire. Service was royal. Vibe banging. As Arnie says in the terminator film series - I'll be back.

Everything we ate was delicious, especially the grilled octopus on fava purée. Service was very friendly, but a bit slow considering the restaurant was pretty empty as it is the end of the season. They told us they were out of all white wine, but the table that came in after us was drinking white wine, which was odd. Note: If you plan to eat inside, they require vaccination certificate to do so. This is Greek government regulation in restaurants.

Easily one of the best restaurants on the island. If you want fish, definitely visit Ithaka! Every course was delicious and the staff we're really pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend.

I take very bad food pictures and not making justice at all of how great the food was. Best meal I've had in Greece by far (I spent a week in Athens and some days in Mykonos so far). I never tasted a tuna like this one and the fresh catch of the day was incredible. Can't even remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much. The complimentary bread and aubergine spread was magic. Didn't make it to the deserts but I'm here for a week and I'll definitely go back and try the rest of the menu. Absolutely fantastic. Oh yeah, service... Friendliest people ever. Love them! ❤️

Super tasty seafood orzo and pasta with lobster. As a starter got bread with eggplant mousse ( didn’t like it, the mouse was bitter and texture of melted ice cream , the bread was like dry and preheated in the oven). Besides the service is great. Go for it.
