★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large tropical type gardens with many walkways interspersed with statues and features. Large pool along with laburnum arch and gardens. Childrens playground down one end, avaries and animal enclosure at the other with a fish pool so there is something for the children. Nice to wander through after all the foot slogging and would think it is especially welcome in the summer. Also a lovely seating area covered with climbing plants - hopefully they will clean all the dead leaves once new season starts. No entry fee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful little lake in the National Gardens. You will most likely walk by here at some point during your visit. It also has plenty of benches around to take a break and take in the sights.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If there were zero stars I’d put none. The turtle pond should be illegal. Way too many turtles in this small dirty hole. It’s a miracle that this isn’t illegal and nobody is sending some animal rights activists there. I’ll make an official complaint about that whole park packed with poor animals. Worse than the streets of Athens. (There was even a dead turtle stuck in between the rocks)
