★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An impressive (and slow-mo) change of guards happens every hour. You can feel the pride these guards have in their every move and step! Bring a hat and shades if you're going during noon as the sun can be overwhelming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unique yet understated. Well worth swinging by in the afternoon when it’s not mobbed by tourists

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must see place in Athens. This shows that Greece remember Turkey’s occupation. Even when it’s 40 degree they are there they changing every hour. They remember. This is really piece of history!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reading the reviews I thought the guard change only happens on Sunday mornings. But I was there on Saturday at 4PM and it was just starting. I 100% recommend seeing this as it is pretty cool to watch the “dance” of the guard change.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ awesome place. very unique ceremony. a lot of people come here. i wiuld suggest get there on Sunday around 10-10:30 local time. there is a real cool ceremony where the Evzones march throughout Athens slowly and change the guard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must see in Athens. The changing of the guard happens at the top of every hour. This is centrally located and free. There is virtually no shade protection from the sun, but you only need to be there about 10min total.
I regret not bring able to witness the Sunday afternoon parade.
Please be respectful of the memorial and do not get closer than common sense dictates (several people tried this to get pocsand had to be told to retreat).
