MOD Santorini - Firostefani

Simply a dream, as the name suggests. Made of dreams. All vegans must have been there. This view and the hotel just great. Every day breakfast brought to the room, remember you must not get used to it ? . Highly recommend to order gyros and all the other dishes on the menu. Christina, as well as Argiris were just super hosts. We will surely come back again.

Overall: Great location, food, service & amenities. When we return to Santorini, we will surely plan on staying at Mod Santorini and having many meals here as well. Christina, the owner and host, is very friendly and helpful, and catered to our needs. What is unique about Mod Santorini is that everything is vegan, so consider this ethical luxury! Hotel/Room: Mod Santorini is a new boutique hotel. While we did not stay overnight at Mod Santorini (as we did not find out about it until after we made other reservations for our stay), this new hotel is very nice. The rooms have a Santorini touch to them, are clean, and are well furnished. There is a very large nice bathroom, and a nice outdoor jacuzzi as well. See my photos of and from Mod Santorini’s Beta Suite. Views/Location: The views from the Beta Suite are very nice. We had our meals in a room that had great sunrise and east sea views from our elevated location slightly down from the outside portion of the rim of the caldera. We could see most of the western sloping land of Santorini, including the distant airport, and much of the open space. The hotel is within a 5-10 minute walk from the center of Fira. Food: The food served is all plant based and vegan as well. The food was creative and really good. See photos of our meals. While in Santorini in December 2021, Christina, the owner, graciously agreed to “open-up” a room for us to have some breakfasts and dinners there. If you are visiting Santorini and want vegan food, get in touch with her to see if you can accommodate. Service: Christina provided great personalized service and is a great host. Run, do not walk, to this gem in Santorini. I can't say enough nice things about MOD. Christina and Argyris are wonderful hosts with tons of great tips about the island, and the hotel itself is an aesthetic dream while still being so cozy. Short walking distance to Fira, but for enough removed that you are away from the hustle of the main town - so peaceful to come home to at the end of the day. There are little thoughtful touches everywhere, and the FOOD - Christina's vegan cooking is on another level. We ended up eating almost every meal at the hotel because we wanted to try it all!

We can't wait to come back and see the finished vision of MOD - this hotel is going to be amazing. Whilst the main hotel isn't finished yet, the rooms that we stayed in was beautiful - everything has been designed with so much detail and attention. We also loved the location, which was quiet, but still within walking distance to town. (Without having to climb loads of steep stairs!) Having breakfast on the terrace each morning was the perfect way to start each day. Not to mention, the food was absolutely delicious, and the best we had in Santorini! When we weren't demolishing the mini-bar at night, we explored the town for vegan options, which sometimes proved challenging. That said, Christina and her family are doing an incredible job of trying to influencer others, and bring veganism into the mainstream in Santorini. They have been active in encouraging other bars and restaurants into offering vegan options, and this made our trip incredibly easy. Once again thank you for everything! We will see you soon

I've been to many vegan hotels around the world. This is definitely one of the best out there! New, beautiful, clean, aesthetic & minimal. The owners, Argyris & Christina are awesome, very friendly and helpful. They know everything about Santorini and they suggested to us where to go and what to see. They also gave us tips where to eat vegan food. But, you have to try Christina's food! Besides the crazy tasty breakfast which is healthy and nutritious, Christina can also cook dinner for you (if you order in advance). I think I ate the most tasty vegan moussaka! Homemade food made with love. Extra tip: you must take their Wine Tour. It was one of the best experiences in Santorini. Overall, 5/5 ! If I could give 10 stars, I would! I can't wait to come back again. Argyri & Christina, thank you for everything. MOD Santorini is the definition of what I call "Value for money"!

Christina and MOD were the highlight of our honeymoon. Christina took such great care of us and gave us all of the recommendations we needed to enjoy our stay on the island. She helped us find things to do, organized massages in the hotel room for us, and cooked breakfast and dinner every night! We had booked a different hotel originally and ended up double booking just so we could stay at MOD, which was the right decision! The food was incredible, the hotel was beautiful and cozy, and Christina and all of the other guests made us feel at home. Planning to come back to Santorini just so we can stay again!!

WOW!! I wish I could select 10 stars!! Room was very comfy, super clean and stocked up with lots of yummy plant based treats!! Christina and Argiris were such amazing hosts!!! We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning with a selection of not only vegan food but wholesome, home cooked and healthy foodie. Just a dream for a vegan travelling and waking up to such a feast!!! We also had a home cooked Greek meal in the terrace which was lovely and lots of recommendations for vegan restaurants around the island.

I was looking for a last minute trip destination with little time to plan it out in between jobs and this ended up being so perfect for that. Christina takes such good care of her guests and gives you ideas for what to do every day as well as is always online to answer all your questions about the island. Her dining and activity recommendations were on point and we had such an amazing trip despite not being able to research much beforehand like we normally do. We got the vegan food and wine tour and couple's massage and both were so wonderful and relaxing. Even before you arrive in Santorini, it feels like you have a friend there waiting for you because of how much Christina cares about each guest's personal experience. She even gave us great recommendations for Athens, where we headed after checking out of Mod. Some parts of the hotel are still under construction but we didn't even really notice that, and the room felt like the perfect sanctuary to return to after a long day of walking around exploring. The location is also ideal for getting around without a car. We stayed in the Gamma suite and had our massage in the Delta suite and both rooms had such a cozy clean vibe. Even if you aren't vegan, if you want to offset the carbon emissions of your plane travel, this is a great place to try a vegan travel experience for a change. We ate lots of delicious food despite the main vegan restaurant on the island being closed during our stay, thanks to the hotel's recommendations. The vegan picnic prepared by Christina was also super tasty. Highly recommend this place to stay.
