★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Старый город буквально наполнен покоем и благолепием. Хочется неспеша гулять по его улочкам, рассматривая дома и заглядывая в окна магазинов.
Нам попалось несколько музыкальных магазинов с очень занимательным ассортиментом. Каждый инструмент хотелось потрогать, такой они, зачастую, были необычной формы и вида. Около одного из таких магазинов даже сидел мастер и прямо тут же некоторые из таких инструментов делал.
Народ на улицах спокойный, расслабленный. Это вообще всего Крита касается. Никто тут никуда не спешит, все делается медленно, без суеты, с осознанием того, что впереди еще вечность, и нечего коней гнать. Будь это официант в кафе, продавец в магазине или просто встречный на улице. Приезжим это состояние передается уже на следующий день и их вскоре, в этом плане, практически не отличить от коренных жителей.
The old city is literally filled with peace and splendor. I want to leisurely walk along its streets, looking at houses and looking into the windows of shops.
We came across several music stores with a very interesting assortment. I wanted to touch each instrument, as they often had an unusual shape and appearance. A craftsman even sat near one of these shops and made some of these instruments right there.
The people on the streets are calm and relaxed. This applies to all of Crete. No one here is in a hurry, everything is done slowly, without fuss, with the realization that there is still an eternity ahead, and there is nothing to drive horses. Whether it's a waiter in a cafe, a salesperson in a store, or just someone you meet on the street. This state is transmitted to visitors the very next day and soon, in this regard, they are practically indistinguishable from the indigenous people.
