★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Από τις ομορφότερες παλιές πόλεις της Ελλάδας αρχιτεκτονικά και η ομορφότερη γεωγραφικά! Η Παλιά Πόλη της Καβάλας ή συνοικία της Παναγίας, βρίσκεται σε μια βραχώδη χερσόνησο, έχοντας θέα την πόλη της Καβάλας, την Θάσο, το Άγιο Όρος και την Σαμοθράκη. Ιστορικά κτήρια και μνημεία είναι οι Καμάρες (υδραγωγείο), το κάστρο της πόλης, το Ιμαρέτ (σήμερα ξενοδοχείο, που μπορεί κάποιος να κάνει οργανωμένη ξενάγηση), το σπίτι του Μεχμέτ Αλή (αυτοκράτορα της Αιγύπτου). Τα πολύχρωμα σπίτια, τα στενά δρομάκια και η θέα θα σας εντυπωσιάσουν. Μην πάρετε αυτοκίνητο. Θα περπατήσετε και όπως όλη η Καβάλα, έχει πολλές ανηφόρες, αλλά μετά κατηφόρες. Η ομορφιά και θέα θα σας ανταμείψουν!
One of the most beautiful old cities in Greece architecturally and the most beautiful geographically! The Old Town of Kavala or the district of Panagia, is located on a rocky peninsula, overlooking the city of Kavala, Thassos, Mount Athos and Samothrace. Historic buildings and monuments are the Kamares (aqueduct), the city castle, the Imaret (now a hotel, which one can do an organized tour), the house of Mehmet Ali (emperor of Egypt). The colorful houses, the narrow streets and the view will impress you. Do not take a car. You will walk and like the whole of Kavala, it has many uphills, but then downhills. The beauty and the view will reward you!

city . Walking on foot preferable. See the castle and aqueduct - the cherries of the cake here. Numerous restaurants and cafes will admire travellers for sure.
