★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm runner, for me this place is special and must have to visit. But for everyone it'll be very good place for visit. It's wonderful antique stadium, very old and interesting. Huge history and very interesting fact that it's still using for Rome Marathon!! Awesome. So if you want to try to run on this stadium, you can do it ( I paid about 5 euro for this opportunity)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of the highlights of our time in Athens which was totally unexpected.
The stadium itself is amazing, a marble covered structure that sits 50,000 and is cut into the side of a large hill is bound to impress anyone who sees it. But the true beauty of this place is the aura you get from standing in the birthplace of the Olympic Games!
Pop of the audio guide and walks around learning about the history of the site, the games and how it was transformed a set of games to honour the gods of Olympus to an international way of creating harmony and peace between nations.
Highlights included the perfectly framed view of the Acropolis, getting to walk the tunnel the athletes use from the changing rooms and hearing the audio guide soundscape, see the collection of posters and Olympic Games torches from every on of the modern games.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool historic stadium. There is a discount for students and young kids.
In the stadium, there is a nice view on the Acropolis on the east wing upon entry on the top stairs.
There are many opportunities for nice pictures, a track where you can run on and there is a small museum with nice facts about different Olympics being held over there entire would with some cool posters and real Olympic torches being used.
The Historic Olympic Stadium is definitely a must-visit when you are in Athens!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The audio guide provided for free was excellent. Highly recommend even though it is not part of the combo ticket and will cost you an extra 10 euro. The architectural significance of the stadium is second to none. It's a must visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience to see this stadium. All marble, grab an audio to listen to the history and facts. The tunnel is cool, and the torch displays are great to see. €10 for the tickets, take some pictures, walk or run around it and feel the grandeur of the stadium. It does get hot and there isn't any shade. Bring some water and walk towards the tunnel to cool off. Enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my, what an atmosphere, what a place.
Audio guide device is included and I recommend you take one and follow the narrator, such history is revealed and fascinating facts about the place that you would otherwise overlook.
There are no 'off-limits' areas and you can sit in one of two pairs of royal thrones as you please.
Be warned all that polished marble makes for heat in a sunny day so take it easy and hydrate.
It's quite a sight and you can't help but imagine the great spectacle of the early Olympians competing there.
Cheap entry and no time limit, there is a small Olympic museum up the atmospheric gladiator entrance tunnel carved through rock and marble, worth a visit, I'll leave the audio guide to tell you about the naked dancing maidens ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Astonishing and wonderful place! This is truly a raw and rugged landmark of ancient times and worth an engaged visit. It boasts incredibly panoramic views of the entire stadium and the history of it is very palpable. To stand where the Olympics of countless years past were held, is truly both thrilling and wondrous. The stadium is great for pictures as well, and you get bountiful views of other classical Athens landmarks on all sides of your view. Truly recommended to visit and enjoy! This is beautiful Greece and Athens at its wonderful best!
