Periscope Hotel - Charitos 22

Tucked in on a side street near TONS of amazing restaurants, this boutique hotel is located within walking distance of the center of Athens and is about half the price of what you would expect to pay elsewhere. The staff are absolutely amazing. Super friendly, engaging, and very helpful and caring. There is complimentary beverages and snacks available 24 hours a day in the lobby along with an included breakfast. The room itself is fairly standard. Nothing too exciting. But I knew that going in and the service and location more than made up for that. One thing to note- I was there for two nights on the weekend and it was quite noisy until early morning (Greeks eat dinner late and the neighborhood is the popular spot for bars, restaurants, and clubs in the fall and winter.) I would gladly stay again.

The hotel is beautiful first of all. All the furniture are in modern style and colors and the bathrooms are breathtaking. But most of all I loved the staff. Especially I was surprised with Gogo and Maria, who were both so caring and friendly. Maria even brought me breakfast with my coffee, without even asking it. They remembered my coffee every morning. Such a nice and professional lady. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and special. I will be back for sure.

Outstandingly charming and helpful staff make this boutique hotel the best place to stay in Kolonaki, Athens. Excellent bars and restaurants a few steps away, and top class hairdresser opposite.

I was looking for a hotel in the Marriott portfolio that fit the free night certificate I had, The Periscope Hotel popped up, sounded interesting. The reviews appeared to be pretty solid and it looked interesting from the photos. So I booked it, besides it was just a pillow stop between my Milos trip and the journey home. The initial contact happened several days before our stay when we stopped by to drop off a suitcase my girlfriend did not want to bring with her to Milos. They were super accommodating to accept the bag so we didn't have to drag it on the next segment of our trip. After our return, check-in was super easy. The checked bag was sitting there waiting for us as well as a package that was dropped of for us that afternoon. The room was interesting, but very spacious compared to a lot of European rooms. I loved the ceiling photo of Athens. The room overlooked the classy little neighborhood with a small smoking balcony. They had these cool shade/cover that was made of wood that came down that really kept out the street sounds. All in all, loved the room. The snack bar that is free for patrons was nice to have, especially after a long day traveling and it had everything from Nespresso bar, sodas, and snack foods. Definitely a nice perk. This hotel was quite a nice stay. I would definitely consider booking here for a future visit to Athens.

Having travelled to 102 countries as a flight attendant, I have stayed in numerous hotels of all categories all around the globe. I was absolutely impressed by Periscope Hotel! Excellent customer care by the professional and friendly staff. They do go the extra mile to satisfy every customer's need. Great location in the centre of Kolonaki and walking distance to the centre of Athens. Clean rooms and comfortable beds with great quality linens! The lounge area was also very cosy and free snacks were offered on a round the clock basis. I would definitely go back! Keep up the great job!

Amazing property and amazing staff. The location is unbeatable at the heart of the posh Kolonaki area. The hotel is a gem. The only two things that can have an upgrade are: a nice fresh coat of painting in the rooms and a little more storage and hanging area in the sleek bathrooms.

Very professional and very attentive staff! I stayed in a single room at the back so there was no view and the room was a bit small but well equipped with a big wardrobe, safe, fridge and toiletries amenities. The bathroom was big though. The window in the room although very big for adequate light could not be opened to air the room. Excellent breakfast buffet and very stylish lounge. Very clean room and public spaces. Location was a bit challenging for me as it is uphill and was struggling walking back and forth to the metro station with (light) luggage.
