This place is amazing, we had a room with the sea view witch was beautiful day and night time. The staff is very friendly and was helping us a lot as we have 3 small kids and a lot of bagages and push chair. Location is great as is close to beach, shops, restaurants and from the front of hotel are the cruise boats and the semi-submarine witch was a experience we will never forget.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They were always there to help you with anything. The room was always clean, the surroundings were really nice and the seaside view on the balcony was amazing. The location is just perfect. The building is old so it may not be fair to compare it with some more modern hotels. For example, water was not exactly hot and water pressure was pretty low but they were not deal breakers for us. The air conditioner was a bit noisy in our room and we found the bed quite 'flexible' and noisy.

Nice hotel in a central location with a big balcony and a beautiful view of the lake. The staff were very friendly and when they heard we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave us a bottle of wine.

Absolute delight this place. Sadly booked for just one night, wish it had been for longer if only to benefit more from the view out over the bay and the lake. George, the proprietor, was very helpful on arrival but due to us being quite early, suggested a couple of places for lunch whilst our room was being cleaned. One we returned we headed to our room to find virtually a suite with 2 good sized rooms, one with a table and additional seating to the rear and the front one with a good sized balcony having far reaching views. Furnished with a bistro seating set we enjoyed an hour on the balcony drinking the complimentary wine George supplied. The room/s have a comfy double bed, sink, TV with dvb box, strong WiFi and a small desk and chair. Bathroom has an acceptable shower with toilet. Hand washing is done in a basin in the bedroom. We really enjoyed our one night here, at what I considered a bargain price. One thing, if you're a little bad on your feet, it's all steps at the hotel, so bear that in mind. Parking is available for free, just ask on arrival.

This place is absolutely amazing: very typical, clean, very central and with a great view over Agios Nikolaos and the sea. The owner was extremely nice and polite and he gave us many tips about restaurants, activities, etc.. There is a public free parking just 2 mins away, so you can park the car there and then move to the hotel. The price is also very convenient...so we didn't have anything to complain about! Definitely recommend!

Very nice historical building in the middle of everything - very well located! We had the honeymoon-suite, and it was a very nice room with balcony and seaview. We were lucky, we were there in off-season, so the noise of the clubs wasn't that loud. Very helpful and friendly staff! We enjoyed the hotel and Agios in general and would return!

A hotel is only as good as its staff, and Damos, Dorothea and Marianna couldn't be more helpful, or attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is very centrally located. Cafes, shops and bars are on the doorstep. The lake is a two minute stroll, and Kitroplateia beach a similar distance. The Porto Maltese isn't like any hotel I have stayed in before. It's in an old harbour side residence and is full of character. The rooms all seem to be different and have AC. I would definitely recommend a sea view with a balcony, but that's just my preference. I love the view. The only drawback is, you can get noise late at night from the bars around the port and people making their way home. It's probably nothing a few drinks or earplugs wouldn't put right. I should add that we were there during the Orthodox Easter Celebrations, so that could account for some of the noise. It was definitely quieter after the weekend. The rooms were spotless, the bed very comfortable, and the bedding very good quality. Toiletries are also provided. There are a lot of steps to the main entrance of the hotel, but it can also be accessed from a street at the rear. If you have mobility issues it would be a consideration. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat ?
