The owner is a lovely guy and very helpful. Rooms were lovely and clean with a great view of the sea. Very close to town, about 5 minutes up a steep hill.

BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY VACATION!!! If you're thinking about renting here, DON'T. I would of paid a bit more to get a better hotel because this TERRIBLE HOTEL ruined my entire Ios vacation. I booked this place because it had an ocean view and it was cheap. Nothing was worth the horrors I had to endure at this place. RUDE OWNER!!!! First, when we got there, the owner was very rude. He demanded cash even though I had booked on Priceline and credit was an option. When I told him I didn't have the cash, he finally agreed. He ran my card and WITHOUT asking me, chose USD vs Euro so that it would charge me the EXTRA 3.5% premium. When I called him out on it, he first said that it WAS in euro. Then when I pointed out the part where they upcharged to USD, he said, "so what?" When I explained to him and asked for a refund and to recharge on Euro, he started beligerantly yelling at me saying it was only 3.5% and I shouldn't be so cheap. I asked him again if he would do it and he again, flat out refused. He then looked like he got more agitated and tried to intimidate me with his size. My girlfriend finally convinced me it wasn't worth it and I dropped it. When we got to the room, it was HORRIBLE. This was SOMETHING OUT OF A HORROR MOVIE. - You could feel every spring in the bed and after 3 nights, my back was sore. - The shower curtains don't go all the way to the bottom so you're FLOODING the bathroom everytime you shower. - The water in the bathroom POOLS to a couple corners and not into the drain so it DOES NOT dry for A LONG TIME. If you shower at night, it'll dry by the next night. If you use the toilet between those times, be ready to have you feet SIT IN WATER! - The entire room/bathroom feels so DIRTY. I've been in third world country hotels that were MUCH CLEANER than this. - WORST WIFI EVER. You'll have slow internet for about 20 minutes and then it'll be completely off for another 5 minutes before maybe having another 10 minutes of internet. On my girlfriend's IPhone, she didn't have internet the whole time. - TERRIBLE LOCATION. You have to either have a STEEP hike up 10 minutes to the village or a STEEP hike down 10 minutes to the port. It's good if you're wanting to lose weight. Knowing what I know now, the village is a WAY better choice as there are busses there to take you everywhere. The village Bus Station is next to the crepe place, "Nutelleria" - CREAKING. When there is wind, there is a CONSTANT CREAKING while you're trying to sleep. When we brought it up to the manager he just said there's nothing he could do and I had to deal with it. Good luck TRYING to sleep. - They DO NOT have a "Do not disturb" sign so if you're taking a midday nap, prepared to have the cleaning lady walk in on you. - The TV wasn't plugged in and I'm not sure it worked. - The refrigerator was turned OFF and we didn't realize it till the ice cream we bought melted.

Stayed in the hostel for one night, the host was fantastic and very friendly! The room was rather small for five people and very stuffy - the shared bathroom wasn’t very nice. Didn’t feel clean and there wasn’t a window in the bathroom so it wasn’t well ventilated. Good value for money but not in any way luxurious :)

Mostly for young party people since they stay there, this is a party island and is only active at evening and night, so alot of young people come home drunk and noisy in the morning. Hotel room was small and poorly decorated. Tv behind cabinet, balcony in an ally with a toilet window from another room and pungent smalls in the hall. Hotel is also mainly accesible by a big rocky staircase, it is possible to drive to it but it is a much longer route.

I have never been more disgusted at the state of a hostel room, and for the record one that I had in Rome had hundreds of ants in the bathroom. This picture is of the fan I the bathroom, and yes, those are mushrooms growing from it. Surrounding those mushrooms is black mold. However if you mention any of this to the owner he will simply walk in, rip the mushrooms down from the ceiling, wave them in your face and tell you to touch and smell them because they are "decorative flowers". I cannot make this up. Everyone in our room had an itchy throat or worse by the time we left because the black mold was literally everywhere. Around the fridge, under some of the beds, in the bathroom, everywhere. I will say that not all of their rooms are this disgusting, I was in a different one for the first 3 days and got moved to this one at the end of my stay. But would you honestly want to roll the dice on getting a room that has mold everywhere and a private mushroom garden? Better yet, do you want to stay at a location where the owner tries to pass off what are clearly mushrooms as "decor"?

Princess Sissy is in a beautiful location and Nicos is a friendly host. There is a lovely view onto the Harbour from a spacious balcony and just a short walk to the city center, which is full of fun and quirky bars and restaurants. The only issue was that the mattress was a little lumpy, but that is a small price to pay for such great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would certainly come again and drink wine on the balcony after a days hard work sunbathing on the beach.

Wifi didn’t really work, had no electricity for a day and the owner came into our room and actually yelled at us for it being messy, nothing was at all damaged or broken. Disgusting

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Hotel owner was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever met. He came into our room that WE PAID FOR verbally abusing us saying that we trashed his hotel room, there was nothing wrong with the space we were in it was simply messy because we had spent the day inside and had all of our clothes around the room. Checked out of the hotel and 2 days later I find a illegal transaction taken out of my bank. He has taken an additional $110 out of my account with no explanation. Nothing was broken, nothing was damaged. DO NOT STAY HERE
