Villa Mata has a special and unique atmosphere, a real Greek experience combined with modern facilities. Beautiful details. Lambros (the owner) is the most caring person you wish to meet. It is our 3 time here and surely will not be the last! We can only suggest this beautiful heaven ? ?

Therefore, this comment includes our observations (in our vacation we stayed in 5 hotels at least including Spain and Greece) and Villa Mata cost-benefit, location (1 min to the beach), staff and procedures against corona were the best ones! Lambros is a great and friendly host, to be there in his family-owned business also gave us the sensation that we should be looking for this kind of places to stay rather than staying big hotels that are destroying the environment and only sucking the local people. If you want to have a great time in IOS or neighbourhood island have no doubt that VILLA MATA IS THE PLACE!!!
V	Vera Nieuwenhuijse on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a gem! It's like a green oasis, with nice clean rooms, and with the lovely Lambros who has a very personal approach. The price is extremely good, especially when you book it straight from their own website! The location is perfect for those who prefer the beach over the city (and trust me, in Ios you do), but still the city is only a little walk up the hill. Would definitely recommend!

The original embroidery artwork in my room was done by the owner’s mother and was a very nice touch. The garden is beautiful and the staff very friendly! I feel I got lucky with the nice corner room at the back which has a bit more privacy and a view of the water. For the price you really can’t beat this place!

The grounds and gardens are gorgeous and beach is literally steps away. Also very close to the ferry port and some restaurants and places to rent cars/atvs/scooters, would highly recommend villa Malta!
