β β β β β Beautiful apartments and incredible view! We had an apartment with direct view of the ocean which was sheer bliss in the morning and evening, sitting on the balcony and enjoying a calm evening. The apartment itself was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped for basic cooking. You will need a rental car on Crete. To see the island but also to get to a good supermarket. But then itβs all amazing, fresh vegetables and fruit oh and cheese and olive oil. The restaurant of the hotel/apartments was great, too! Food was super tasty, especially on Sunday, when the grandfather roasted a whole lamb on the spit. Simply mouthwatering!!! The owner was extremely nice and helpful. We had an issue or a question, he has the answer. We could even buy a couple of bottles of their very own, selfmade olive oil and bring it back home. All in all I can HIGHLY recommend Socrates Apartments and Restaurant. 5 stars :)

They even stayed open late to accommodate us and provided delicious vegetarian options from the kitchen.
Definitely worth a visit!

β β β β β Superb food. Fresh fish and seafood are most delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff. Quiet surrounding, terrace directly on the waterfront. Make sure to ask the owner about his familyβs excellent olive oil. This restaurant alone is a good reason to come back to Crete.
